Lets see how that translates into action come round1. I'll never ever ever forget watching Neeld's first game against Port. Flew down from Sydney totally pumped under the new "hardest to play against" regime. You could literally see within 5 minutes the collective confidence disappearing like air out of a balloon. I don't trust in pre season anything anymore. Proof will be in the matches. I'm coming down for round 1 again. Hope its not an ongoing exercise in the definition of madness. I expect it not to be but I'm also not entirely mad.

I have been attended training for the last five years on an infrequent basis. Intially (because I knew no better ) I thought that our training standards were good. In comparison with what I am seeing this year and last year I can see just how far behind  we really were. The Group dynamic has changed dramatically. We no longer have a group of introverts. These guys like each others company. You can hear them urging each other on. They take the p out of each other as well and have a laugh doing it.Gawn,Vince,Hogan,Petracca,Kent, Viney and Vandenberg all have swagger. For the first time in eons the boys are comfortable in their skins. For the first time in ages they look like a football team and behave like a team. All we need now is for them to play like a team.

I am slightly confident about this Saturday. I liked the way the guys interacted today and l feel that notwithstanding the fact that we have a few missing the boys will put in a good showing! (And some new stars will emerge!)

Thanks for the photos. Did anyone else notice Jeffies foot? It was at an angle before the kick perhaps if they can straighten that out he will kick 60.
