   Players come and players go, some times I am saddened, sometimes I don't care but I love the players that put on the jumper week after week and give all they have.  Sometimes it is just not enough to win.

Nup, I'm saying a fit & healthy Trengove is best 22. There is no should about it...if he's not right he doesn't play, he won't be good enough and won't be gifted games 'SWYL'. This is a different club now mate...

 

Jack has a big heart and with what he has gone through, his late 20s will be a force for the Mighty Dees........

He strikes me as a player who learns from their experience and won't waste a single minute once he gets back out on the park.

It is just a matter of time, I'm looking forward to it!

A fit, healthy and IN FORM Trengove is most definitely in our 22. I say 'in form' because it has been a while since he played the game, so I would no longer assume that just because he is fit and healthy - that he should be granted a game. You are right, he will have to earn it. He will have to find his very best form to break into our midfield from here on in.

That is all i want rjay...

I think we all forget just how seriously good Trengove looked in 2010-2011. Was one of the most impressive young players in the comp and was destined to become an absolute star until Neeld ruined him. 

People rave about Brayshaw's first year but Trengove was just as good and even better. If Trengove miraculously got that form back i have no doubt we will play finals.

A fit, healthy Trengove back on track would be a major plus.

doesn't have to be midfield KDA, could be down back, up forward, interchange... in the 22? but will have to earn it with great form & a solid patch of games uninjured.

its not the send offs or past players, its been the culture for a looong time. Barass brought a better culture which took 5 years to break open, & change,,  as he did up at Sydney as well, then handed over the reigns to Eade.

Roosy is repaying Barass's handover up there,  down here,  IMO,  thanks to Barass & AFL.

 

the culture is 100% to do with club improvement & development of players, & winning.swyl.

Yeah I know, I was just adding the midfield onto the initial discussion about the 22. Because, lets face it, Trengove's best football is in the midfield (well, I believe it is anyway), and I think he will have to be at his very best to break into that position (anticipate our midfield will be improved). I think 2016 will just be about getting back on the park. If he can manage to get back onto the park, he will have to be at his very best to break into the midfield (2017 on wards).

Good in 2009 Nationals (SA) as well. Pretty sad his best football was in his first 2 years.

And in the Sanfl for Sturt seniors. Who could forget his 29 disposal and heroic saving mark in the dying minutes of the prelim final in the gold square.

I wonder if he can get back in time to play against GWS.  I'd love to see him break a certain person's nose again.

I think it is simply a question of whether he can regain fitness and, if he can, have sustained and uncompromised confidence in it.

If he can, he will absolutely be in our best 22.

for sure, but in U-18's he played defensive side of square at centre bounces, & IMO can play back flank,  actually if fit & running, I can imagine him being something like Steven Febey.

If fit and able to kick a football under game conditions he would probably fit amongst the top 30 currently.

Ok, I'm pushing it with top 10 for now but I think you are underselling Trengove with the top 30 call.

If he can stand up he is well and truly top 22, the club haven't improved that much...

I'm not underselling what JT might be. That's all but irrelevant. He may or may not be anything. Everything is conjecture. When/if he resumes full contact / full load training then I would think he's top 30.

It's folly to think just because he was a high pick and played some good games that he's anything else. He's still got a long way to go.

His first games back (if) will be at Casey. He play a few there.

Sheer logic says a topp 22 player does not line up at Casey.
