The former Geelong variety, he's not a player that I know a lot about however from watching the VFL on the weekend I thought he looked very good for Sandringham with strong hands and a nice kick on him.

He also played quite well for Essendon as a top-up player earlier in the year, and as this article indicates some teams have shown interest already.

He will only be 26 next year so still plenty of football left in him, anyone know much about him?

My concern about him is that he's had good VFL seasons in the past and it hasn't translated into results when he played Geelong seniors. Vaguely recall him kicking 9 in the VFL a few years back, getting picked for Geelong and then barely touching it the following week.

If we move Dawes on then i wouldn't be against picking him up with maybe our 4th round draft pick as Hogan insurance.

I see him only as depth as a forward. Might have more of an AFL future as a key defender but his lack of physicality worries me.

Rookie or PSD level talent from what I've seen.

Watched him a couple of times this year in the VFL and has proven enough to get back into the AFL, extremely athletic and seems to be playing with a higher intensity than he was in the past. Still got some issues with decision making with ball in hand but if he goes to the right system he could be really good for an AFL club.

Don't think he will be on our Radar as his age and skills don't really fit a need for us but some clubs are very desperate for mature KPPs, Freo and Brisbane come to mind.

I would have thought with Chris Dawes missing half his games on an annual basis with injury that we would have a need for another good tall forward to complement Jesse Hogan and it would be ironic if we got Brown because he was the other standout schoolboy key forward in the year when Jack Watts was drafted. Since then, Watts has been preferred elsewhere and doesn't appear to be acceptable as an AFL KPF and Brown was discarded by Geelong.

I think Macca will have a big say in who we draft. I'm sure his preference would be to select a smokey and develop them rather than pour development into a 26yo in the hope of them being just a depth player.
