Changes For Next Week

Featured Replies

Fremantle could field a week's worth of Ross Lyon's turds and we'd still lose.

On average, I get to see one game a year.

If the MFC decide to rest 4 or 5 our best 22 just because of a "we're gonna get spanked" mentality then I might just throw in the towel along with the club.

Taking my young bloke for his first game of AFL and if it's just a repeat of last weekend I'll be bitterly disappointed for my lad.

Bring your best team and put in a decent fuggin showing.

Are you serious? You are suggesting the club bases this week's selction on the viewing experience of yourself and 3 other Melbourne supporters that will be at the game.

Its time to structure our side that has some talls rather than mid size players playing on talls

Jetta Fitzpatrick Garland

Grimes MacDonald Salem

Vince Jones Stretch

Howe Watts Cross

Gawn Hogan Garlett

Jamar Viney Tyson

ANB Brayshaw Michie Newton

In Jetta, Fitzpatrick, Jamar, Tyson

Out H, Dawes, Dunn, Harmes

Dunn or Garland either or

Dawes for Howe if fit

In - Tyson, Jetta, Fitzpatrick, Jamar, Riley, Spencer

Out - Hogan (rest), Brayshaw (rest), Gawn (rest), Harmes, Dawes, Lumumba - first 3 to come back in for the final game vs GWS

Perhaps rest Jones fora final fling at a win in the last meaningless for any other reason game.

Then ask those players who are going to be prepared to kill themselves for their captain to make sure that that game is won and rest those that need rest (like Brayshaw)

Then play Jamar McKenzie Bail Michie Fitz Terlich and MJones. tell them they are playing for their football future and to join those others who are going to play for Jonesy.

Sorry HH looks like you had the same idea

add Riley Spencer Tyson and Jetta to the play list

Worst they can do is identify themselves as NQR

Unleash Hell, well put. On the dee forum after the match will read What will you do if we do not beat GWS and my other fav changes for next week. The club does not need to hear Roos excuses after the match,we just play one from the past!

Now you are just being negative ENYAW.

off: rose-coloured glasses

on: veil of negativity

Glad to see your sense of humour has not totally deserted you C and B

Say "Silk" 4 times in your head....

SILK SILK SILK SILK....

WHAT DO COWS DRINK?

In : Morton, Carroll & Clint Bizzell

Out: Sean Charles, Sean White & Jeff White

I want to leave the team totally unchanged, except for any injuries. They don't need the negative vibe that comes from changes. Email the club and tell them to pick the same team and that we loved the last 2 weeks so much that we want to see the same wonderful efforts again this week against an opponent that has been weakened by the absence of their marquee player.

With Fyffe out I reckon we will wipe the floor with them at Subiaco. WIPE THE FLOOR!!!!

Sorry long lunch with many reds.

Brayshaw and Harmes to be rested this week.

No problem Bail and Jones will fill their spots and do better.

Now that is positive keep it up it can only make us better.

They will OD. Brayshaw especially has been cooked for weeks. Hope he gets the rest and back in vs GWS

Roos just said in Roo's Views that Brayshaw and Harmes will be rested this week.

Wonder who replaces them?

Need a reshuffle. Drop Dawes. I don't wanna see him labouring around in Perth. Bring in Fitzy to play on their resting ruck, and to free up McDonald around the ground. Play Watts as second tall. Hopefully Tyson and Jetta come in, don't care if Lumumba gets up or not

Is Kent any chance? Haven't heard anything about him.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
