It has cheered me up. But I am sick of words. I don't expect the players to hurt like us, but for me I want to see action this offseason (look at me one day in to being super peeved and I'm already back on the hope bandwagon)

It's amazing watching the gap in class between us and the West Coast. Their players can kick from anywhere in the F50 and they go through the big posts. We miss from 20m in front.

Here lies the problem.

Because we want to see improvement we all see the players as being better than they are.

In the last few weeks we have been beaten by St Kilda ( twice ), Essendon and Carlton

All teams in the bottom third of the ladder.

Essendon have won one game in 12 weeks

Carlton have won one game in the last 8 weeks.

That tells me our talent level is poor.

No amount of effort compensates for a poor skill level.

The fact we've beaten Richmond, the Dogs, Geelong in Geelong, and Collingwood (worst record of any of those sides is 9-11), but lost to St Kilda (twice), Essendon and Carlton tells me the opposite.

The talent is there.

Well they can't move the whole team on...

Jones, Watts, Grimes, Garland, Dunn should all be put up for trade. It should be a KPI for Roos and the list management team to trade all of them. Their ineffectiveness during a match drives the rest of the team.

I seriously think a team led by Vince, Brayshaw, Hogan, VB, Petracca, McDonald, Salem is infinitely more attractive than the current boys club from the Bailey and Daniher years. Look at the Bulldogs.

Seriously, if there aren't major changes and legitimate talent brought in, then you have to question the viability of the club has a whole if it can't attract players.

By no means is making finals next year a pipe dream. I'm a film producer. If we didn't goal set, we'd be [censored]. The same goes for all business. Set goals. It's not unrealistic to expect us to win 10-12 games next year.

Yeah, their 25 goals & 12 behinds was certainly inaccurate yesterday. Thank god our highly accurate team found a way to kick more behinds with 17 less scoring shots against the worst team in the comp.

And the reason so many people rave about the Saints' young list, despite our equal footing on the ladder, is their attitude. I've watched at least half their games this year and they always put in. Nobody pulls out of chases, nobody decides to pursue their man when the ball is in open space 3 meters away, nobody drops their heads when they're 50 points down. It comes down to one simple non-negotiable: unconditional effort.

We all agree that so much of our club's problems is above the shoulders; other young teams just go out with freedom and attack the ball with maximum effort. Our players look bored, disinterested, confused, almost pained to be playing AFL, as if it's some kind of miserable chore. Sometimes they don't turn up because they expect to be flogged, other times they don't turn up because they expect a cakewalk. It's an ingrained mental scarring that Roos gets criticized for mentioning, but the fact is you almost need a psychologist running this damn club to help these players.

My point is that even the CEO over estimates our list's ability.

We are bog ordinary and are way more than one season away from finishing eighth or higher.

The MFC is litered with what might have been.

The simple fact is we have won 6 no more no less so we need to win 14 to get close to eigth place in 2016.

We simply do not have the players to win 14 games in 2016.

Hopefully with some good recruiting this trade season we can improve the list.

I am actually glad and relieved that our senior coach has identified that infact a major problem does exist
