We need both.

Our terrible transition from midfield to the forward line is only partially a midfield problem. Our forward line needs a clever lead up general forward as an alternative to hitting up Hogan. Hopefully Jesse wouldn't need to drift so far from goal to chase kicks when we are defending.

Hawthorn rely on three medium forwards in a multi pronged attack rather than the old two kpf, third tall and crumbers set up. Makes for a more versatile, dangerous set up.

We do still need to get in better ball users and decision makers as well.

Agree, at the moment we're playing kids like Bradshaw, ANB & Harmes or nqr's like Jones & Bail. They're all working as defensive forwards first and foremost so we have no one apart from Hogan & Garlett setting up as attacking forwards, creating the play.

We need more play makers.

Tom Lynch is the perfect kind of player to get the best out of Hoges.

He is the lmarking ink man that will allow Hogan to stay deep and will take a good defender out of the backline.

Ideally we want mobile mid-tall forward bit of strength and strong leading patterns. This guy seems to fit that profile. It then lets you play a second ruckman in the forward pocket, would like to see a forward structure like this

Well, with the sub rule likely to go, we do need to play another ruckman. Gawn struggles to play out three quarters, let alone four.

No they won't. His weak right knee will mean that we won't get anything of worth - his bad form earlier in the year also makes it implausible.

He will be a Demon in 2016.

Crows demands will start as Toumpas and our first rounder. If we can negotiate it down to Toumpas and our second rounder for Lynch and their third rounder I'd do it in a heartbeat.

No. No it's not.

What they will have to pay to select their academy players'. We won't loose a chance to draft kids that are available to us.

Tom Lynch is not a KPF, but he is a leading target (and compared to Dawes, he definitely would not be a backward step. Finds way more of the ball too). The only problem we would have, re: Dawes, is that we may well have to pay some of his contract if we are to release him early (he is on quite a bit).
