GAME DAY - Round 14

Featured Replies

I read yesterday in the herald sun that Gillon had made the booking to attend our match. Not sure if he will still make the trip after yesterday and the tragic circumstances but maybe he was going to have a look to see how the game goes up there and if people are interested.

No. Apparently there's a really good polo match on in Darwin this weekend with a perfectly delightful cocktail party afterwards!

I attended the polocrosse championship afterparty up there last year and there certainly weren't any cocktails or cocktail dresses around.

i've put $$$$$$ on the Dees, i don't often do that but when i do we always lose. ALWAYS. Sorry for ruining the game.

Why is it a specialty?

Got me all though it is unique to ' wait awhile '

I [censored] up the start time and I'm well into the red already. Not sure if i'll last. Early call but the signs are ominous.

Stuff it I'm tipping and upset!

GO DEES!

Christ! If I have to suffer Moonie's posts, I wont last another 10 mi9nutes.

Drink up mate.

A tech question if anyone can help.

Just got a new computer and can't get the AFL Match Center radio to stream. Updated Firefox and Shockwave and tried Explorer but still no joy.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Certainly your ability to type the correct letters hasn't lasted.

We are playing in Red and Blue tonight.

They will be using a Sherrin.

Cashed up bogans no doubt it's a specialty over there in w.a .

Trust me they love it.

I recently purchased a new car that wasn't an SS or XR6 and I got called a snob.

"It's one of dem fancy U-Row-Pee-An cars" is what someone commented.

I didn't think I could get enthused about tonight after recent events but now I've got a good feeling that we might get up.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
