I've heard from a reliable source that Stevie Motlop is the A grader that is being discussed at the moment........... And before you ask I have an in with the local butcher down at Geelong who is good friends with stevies dog groomer, who supplies free range food to stevies dog.

if we are paying him the $750,000 he wants then i'll poison the free range food.

I believe you Cardi. Sounds perfectly legit

I heard today from someone who knows Cam Pedersen that Jeremy Howe is gone

Begs the question why the f he keeps getting a game (and yes he played well today)

no, it doesn't Jaded. its in our interests, & in his... IF he indeed goes?

there are reasons

Just throwing this up.

Swans have too many mids in the same mould and need some new blood in defense. Would they be interested in Fitzy??

no, but they may be interested in an extra draft pick?

Scott selwood is one id seriously consider as a free agent

Agree, although he strikes me as someone who will try and find his way to Geelong, particularly if they miss out on Dangerfield.

I agree, & we'll still be light on for leadership after another year or two, after Crossy's finally let up.

Our kids are all still too young, & our 26ers aren't so flash, except for the Jones boy.

I'm still backing the Bulldogs to go for Fitz. They have a hoard of smallish quick outside mids, most of whom can kick goals. They're looking to trade some off rather than delist. Probably offer a straight-up trade for one of them.

Unfortunately, with your 8 posts, Mr Cardwell, you won't be taken particularly seriously on this one.

Glad this is only my second post then, won't bother to generate humour again !

Bontempelli for Fitz please and thank you.

I'd love to get our hands on Motlop. He was clearly Geelongs best against us, one of their few players who was a winner on the day. He's an outside player who can do inside things if he has to and hits the scoreboard. Exactly what we need to compliment our battery of inside beasts.

leave off Motlop for a moment.

wish list

*give Gawn to the blues for Yarran & a pick.

*grab Nathan Vardy from the cats, as they have others in front, atmo. (Garland?rfa)

*grab Selwood F/Ay

*grab Prestia.... player/s &/or 2nd Rnd pick (Dawes? Garland? Grimes? Howe?)

*go after Aish or Omeara, see what is required.

*enquire about Tomlinson/Plowman....... (Howe?)

*use our first pick in the draft (Weideman/Parish)

Glad this is only my second post then, won't bother to generate humour again !

:)

never mind VC, the cricket is On, & the poms are just about Roo Ted.... they are like witches hats, atmo. all getting mown down by bad drivers.

anyone considering the Agrade mid Roosy alluded to might be Ollie Wines?

perhaps first pick and toumpas?

No. He signed a 2 year extension last year. What makes you think Wines Munga?

leave off Motlop for a moment.

You are joking aren't you?

Trade Max ? Can't believe it, but such is Demonland. We are all different that's for sure. Personally , love the way Max is playing. For the moment would like to get him and Hogan re-signed on decent contracts as a priority. It is crystal clear that it remains the midfield and another big forward/ goal kicker that needs to be sorted. Back half keeping a side to 4 goals is a fairly decent effort.

I can tell you that Motlop has one foot out the door, but that foot is pointed in the direction of the crows.

Back half didn't do it. The Bears' poor goal kicking skills did.

Huge potential the cats and crows trade motlop for danger.

Crows can match the offer that is put to Danger because he is an RFA. After matching it, they can then trade him to ensure they get something in return for losing their best player.

The trade would have to be requested by the player himself.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
