How bad would we be without Garlett

And pedo stays in...2 goals, runs all day and tries his heart out

How bad would we be without Garlett

How good would Garlett be if he didn't kick ALL his goals on the run

Pedo much better then Watts and Dawes

We also play at the MCG for 5 weeks in a row, cant have everything.

Granted, but two home games against Freo, GC and Sydney, and then an away game against Hawthorn, after already playing an away game against Richmond.

We can't have everything, but at least give us an opportunity to turn a profit!

Why does Pedo get dropped ahead of Dawes?

At half the salary as well, I know who I'd retaining when contracts are renewed.

It's going to be 100 points before 3/4 time

Welcome back the Melbourne I know and hate.

What happens when Jamar retires this year or next?

His retirement will set our midfield back a further 2 years because Spencer and Gawn clearly need A LOT more AFL experience to get even close to being up to standard.

Chris Dawes must be feeling pretty stupid right about now. I never want to hear about his so called "intelligence" again.

Not they're just taking the pi$$. Langford goals from a stoppage. We have no one goal side... And then howe GIVES UP on a chase

Salem on rough head...

Dawes, our vice captain on 4 touches

Arghhhh....Dawes just got out-positioned and out-marked. That was embarrassing...

Pathetic weak heartless rubbish. We don't deserve the "Demon" nick name they should be rebranded the fairies.

We are actually still just as bad against top 8 sides as we have been since 2008.

In 2010 when we started looking like a half-decent team, top 8 sides still toyed with us. Same as 2011.

I simply can't see how we can ever catch up to these top teams. It's a lot harder than it was 5, 6 years ago.

This will be a 100 point loss.

15 goals to 2 since we kicked the first 2 goals on the game.

Tyson cannot possibly be fit enough to play. He's running poorly and his kicks are half rat power. His knee should've been rested this week

you really are having a day out!

I get it that going the knuckle is not helpful. But it would be really nice to see some serious agro.

This is looking very much like 2013 v Essendon. They are already taking the [censored] and lairising. Just embarrassing.

How can we *not* start questioning Roos here?

The team goes in without a single inkling of wanting to win.

Insipid stuff but the AFL did us no favours at all in piling on these three games in a row. Confidence will take a hammering from this. If you want a competitive Melbourne, this isn't helping.

I'm embarrassed and ashamed to be a Melbourne supporter for the first time this year.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
