Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Just saw Lynden Dunn running on the beach in Surfers Paradise.

He is looking very fit and seems to put on a bit of muscle. A good sign for '07

I love these little chestnuts, good on you Elliot.

If anyone sees any more players out and about don't be afraid of approaching them and finding stuff out. I always find they're as approachable as you can imagine a person being and willing to talk in detail about the club.

After all, this kind of stuff is the only joy we get for the next few months...

Not at all. Merely questioned how much muscle you can put on in four weeks.

Me thinks Rhino is a very insecure person

You seem to miss the irony in many of your comments YM dont you?

Maybe he put it on during the season as well. You might remember we didn't see him in a Demons jumper for the last 2 months of the season.

Also saw him in the Supermarket with his young girlfriend. He was shopping without a top (just boardshorts). All Class!

Considering his last game of the season was against Sydney in round 19, it's been more like 9 weeks since we've seen him. With an increase in gym time, which I would assume would be a directive from the club and a little less on the endurance side of things, I wouldn't be surprised if he's put on a few Kg's of muscle since he last played.

He would have been training with the Seniors all the way up to the end of the finals. Do you go to training at all? I would find it very hard to believe that he was put on a different training program at Round 19 when we were aiming at the finals.

However since end of season and allowing for at least week or so off for a break, it is too short a timespan to have any significant body development through weights. And if he did not have a defined break i would be further concerned about the stresses on an 18/19 yo body.

I think it is good sense that Club do undertake a strategy to build his physique to cope with AFl standards but do so in a responsible and professional manner.

I'm just glad the post didn't read...

Just saw Lynden Dunn in a club in Sufers Paradise. He was trying not too make body contact with anyone just in case he got hurt...

Nah that was mean. Glad Dunny is looking after himself and looking forward to seeing his career develop in 2007.

I must admit that I may be wrong and he may be as skinny as ever. When he was running on the beach he looked very toned. As I am not a raving homosexual I do not notice men's muscle with all too much detail, however I though he had put on some muscle since his debut. I can say with good authority that his girlfriend was about a 6.5 or 7 and looked young enough to be Neita's daughter.

My point regarding him not being in the senior team since round 19 would mean that it's been that long since a number of supporters would have seen him rather than the 4 weeks you stated in your first post. I am well aware of the fact that he would have been training with the senior list up until the end of the season.

I saw young rookie Danny Hughes with his arm in a sling trying very unsuccessfully to pick up last thursday night at Half Moon in Brighton. Keep trying kid, you'll get one sooner or later! He was also having a yarn with Chris Judd moments earlier.

Half Moon is one of the most footballer-infested places on earth.

But let me get this straight, Chris Judd was there, and yet you feel the need to tell us about Danny Hughes? :o:lol:

I have made it my mission that if I ever meet Judd (sadly, I only ever meet really dud footballers), I will definitely buy him enough drinks to make him talk honestly about a possible return to Melbourne ;)

Seeing Chris Judd out in public is like seeing Jesus Christ himself descend from the heavens and mingle among us mere mortals

Only J. Christ doesnt quite have the same aura as Chris Judd

Not as gifted either.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
