My best mate, who is good friends with Jesse is very much under my instructions to organise some chance encounters with some of her friends.

Always happy to take one for the team!

Is it wrong to get morning wood about these things?

Eh, I don't care if it is or isn't. I'll just enjoy it.

Picket fence does when someone mentions Ollie Wines, so i guess it's fine :)

Please don't rubbish this thread any further.

ManDee, you were implying that the only good thing about Harris was her looks and were condescending of her football ability.

Now go away.

That is wrong.

That is wrong.

You may not have implied it, but that is what many inferred.

ManDee relax, move on. Your posts were harmless. its just the usual PC brigade that love to get in a lather over literally nothing.

I'm trying to let this go but I think she is a terrific footballer. She is courageous, takes great marks and has a terrific kicking style. If only Jack Watts had her ticker.

So....how about that Jesse Hogan? Wow wee!

Edited by Demon Jack

Had a phone call last night from my nephew, with a story about Jesse being on the [censored] with his mates over in Perth. (He works with the mates father).

I asked him to send the story to me so I could post it here, but seems he was too lazy.

Gist was, Jesse was on the pizz, and making a "lad" of himself, as teenagers do when the are away with mates. In the fun, a folding chair found itself broken, and the finger was pointed at Hogan, who laughed, and told his mates that he could probably afford to replace it with a new one.

"ya reckon im on peanuts do ya? haha"

Jesse was very happy with life, and in particular, life at the Dees.

If the nephew bothers to send me the story, I will post, providing there is nothing bad in it.

He hears heaps about Hogan, from this bloke.

faulty

Thought I should post something about Jesse, as we seem to be getting off topic.

As I said above, the usual 'banal' defence. When devoid of rational argument, all ya gotta do is stoop to puerile name calling.

not the first time Hogan has smashed a chair

That's pretty much the image that came to mind when I was told the story.

Jesses manager will be on trade radio in a few minutes

Didn't really say anything we don't already know. Deal won't be done overnight, but he loves Melbourne and the MFC and is open to extending his contract. Loves the city and would stay in Melbourne if he were delisted.

Good to keep in mind when we delist him next year.

Was actually the most positive I've been about his future after any interview.

Usually Hogan himself doesn't give much away and says it's too early to know if he'll be a one club player, and he seems to love going back home to Perth.

But sounds like he's now really taken to Melbourne as a city which obviously hugely helps our chances of keeping him. Hoping it gets done soon so we don't have to worry about it for a long time.

I think its fair to say we didnt know the last part. Very good signs.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
