Post and pre match entertainment

The entry with 'Hells Bells' was just AWESOME. I too thought it was similar to when 'The Undertaker' from WWE enters the arena. Great work MFC!

My only gripe was that they didn't play enough of it

Yep, I would leave the club song until after the game for wins only.

It kinda sounded lame after the Bells...

...and by the way, do they ever make the bombers siren sound insignificant.

Indeed. In DJ terms it was a pretty savage mash up. Demonic to jaunty

One thing that really annoyed me was they ran out of Football Records before the game even started. I would have liked one as a souvenir of Hogan's debut game.

Based on previous matches, obviously didn't anticipate 27,000.

Clearly I'm an anachronism, as the only entertainment I want is the game and consider everything else unnecessary rubbish. I hate "the voice of the G" and wish there was no noise whatsoever. I accept there would be others who also loathe "the voice", but still love the entertainment.

That said, I wouldn't want my isolated views to hinder the enjoyment of others. I love ACDC, so Hells Bells is great, but I didn't hear it due to earplugs/radio.

So I've noticed that the A League look to have adopted Hells Bells as the song for the players to walk out to in every game this season.

Smells like a rip off to me. Get your own ideas Gallop ya [censored].

I like to watch porn with a medieval theme to it.

I think we should have real church bells rung out by a real hunchback if we are going to do it properly.

If we lose I think it only fair that we get to throw fruit at the hunchback and if we win we just put him back in his cage.

Also ,it could benefit us to dunk a witch in the Yarra.

I shall announce my return to Dland on another thread. However I cannot let this post go without comment. I shall now publicly demand that Biffen return my property. 1. My tailor made Monks Robe . 2. My authentic scold's bridle . 3. A number of my cats - I am concerned for their welfare.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
