I know all to well about disappointment/demon supporter. The last 8 years have almost ruined my love and passion for the club and i'll happily admit every year I tell anyone who'd listen , demons going places/lookout big year/finals coming/such&such is gun, im as guilty as any true believer.

But something is happening here and im afraid that after 8 long years il qoute Simon Goodwin

Welcome to the madhouse, mate.

You said it - We all have an uncanny ability to build up a renewed hope that , "this will be the year" every off-season. But with everything coming together off the field, and a good injection of talent on the field, there is certainly scope for improvement.

Even myself I dont think I understood how bad shape the club was in.

The appointment of Jackson was a godsend, then came Roos, players started to respond but unfortunately ran out of gas,introduction of quality kids but left to develop!!! (Finally). We were so poorly run b4 that there was no quick fix/turn around similar to port, so methodically step by step the whole club needed reprogramming and il name him again PETER JACKSON,U are the master. This is it guys its actually happening the bear has been poked, get ready BIG crowds at MCG . No more false dawns the club has arrived

Il happily put my left one on it.

Seriously blind freddy can see what is about to happen here, id love a quick furn around like port im bloody impatient and they destroyed 8 years of my only enjoyment but peter and all involved had a system in place as no quickie would work so a step by step plan was put in place and followed to the T.

We are named after a capital city we will soon cast Collingwood to the shadows and our supporters will come out of woodwork similar to Richmond

And more importantly we have something in a coach that sadly gets overlooked and should be non negotiable when appointing coaches

Well I reckon they're always having a crack but just haven't had the circumstances to let them succeed, so I wear my scarf & jersey every weekend even if I'm in front of the TV

I expect a huge improvement in Roosy's second year

Dare I say it, but I'm going to put it out there, feeling confident...........we will win 6 to 8 games this year

The turning point will happen when they post 3 wins in a row, honestly the list is dare I say top8 it isnt bad

they love roos , look how many turned out for pre season. They want it ,a

terrific system has been done from ground up they just need to learn belief, winning then after everything there been through I believe theyll get ruthless , esp with roos cracking the whip(by all reports thd players are driving this)

FMD I nearly crashed the car this morning on the way into work, Denham was even praising us on SEN with KB, thought I was hearing things

I told u , I dont mean to harp on the same postings that I wrote I just feel like I can c what is about to happen it that obvious . Im not exaggerating but if this is a rebuild were... big call...

Yes, we all talk ourselves into optimism over summer but logically and unemotionally speaking I think there is every reason to expect a jump up the ladder.

On-field it's essentially Frawley for Lumumba, Garlett, Frost, Hogan.... pick2, pick3... Newton, Stretch

We also have Goodwin around the place now, hopefully that helps

2013: 66 - 122 : 56 point loss

2014: 61 - 89: 28 point loss

The AFL average game score in 2014 was 86 points, if we can get 4 more goals a week on the scoreboard I reckon we will close to 100.00% , which should mean about 11 wins theoretically, which is around 10th on the ladder

Given we lost 6 by 20 points or less I think this is reasonable.

I hope in 2015, from Round One, we see a forward line of Dawes, HOGAN, perhaps McCartin? Kent, Watts, JKH, Gawn and Howe.

As one of those eternally disappointed but ever optimistic Demon supporters, I am looking forward to 2015 with my usual outward enthusiasm but, I'm also embarrassed to say, also with some internal trepidation. Can it be any worse than the last eight years? Probably not. The problem is that the competition now demand constant improvement and we are still in catch up mode. I'm not convinced we can hope for significant improvement next year but I will echo my wish for the 2014 season which was that we narrow the margin between our best and our worst. I think that's a reasonable starting point. Who knows, with a little luck we may see things turn around to the point where we can head to the G with some realistic belief that we are in with a chance on most occasions. This would be enough for me. Six to eight wins would, all thing considered, be a fair result. I can't bring myself to seriously entertain finals in 2015 but my optimism allows me to indulge in flights of fancy during which I dare to dream of what it might be like.

Everyone (mostly) on this site is in the bandwagon - sitting patiently.

We didn't get out when the wheels fell off, we didn't get out when the roof came off, when didn't get off when we thought it was going to start and then didn't...

Back to the Dees he maintained for five years we were being run by idiots and dare I say it he was probably right in the main.
