Give me lots of pace & A+ foot skills now please!

Go train for it. Bloody now generation..

Why?

Hawthorn seemed to do OK by recruiting players with elite foot skills and building a gameplan around it.

Why wait if you don't have to? Besides, we don't have the time either...

Be interested in Maccas opinion on Panos ( thats Brendan ..lol )

Going by the video highlights reckon he'd be quite ok stepping up to the big league Now. Not overly explosive but has a solid grab, thumping accurate kick, moves a bit like Pavlich, reads the play beautifully - could be a good get as a recycled player who wants to prove a few things

ALL of our mids don't need to be and never will be stars. They need to be a hard working solid provider within the mids-group

If he fell through to the Rookie list I'd snaffle him .

His highlights don't show much real midfield work but his kicking looks great and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up as a decent half back flanker

I recall his original draft profiles had him as a potential key forward but a bit under-height, and possible to be picked anywhere from early second round to rookie list.

Now he is turning up as a 'possible anything' in one conversation or another.

I'd be happy to see us using a late pick or rookie pick to grab him. The best result is a valuable player, hard to match up on and capable of having an attacking impact. The worst result is a useful Mr Fix It to steady the Casey Scorpions and provide a depth option in multiple areas.

Without paying out existing contracts (terrible practise) isn't it likely that we will run out of slots on the primary list?

Rookie prospect only for mine if he falls far enough.

Following the well trod path of Jobe Watson, Cameron Ling, Tom Rockliff etc from undersized key forward to hard working midfielder. I like his kicking. I like his frame. I like the small amounts we saw of him in that video at clearances with the way he dished off to good options whether by hand or foot. I agree we will likely have a younger rookie list with King and Harmes and maybe another 18 year old so his age could be an upside not a concern.

Would be an interesting dynamic coming to a new club but ending up under the same coach in McCartney. That said in a different position he could be a whole new player.

Was surprised when he wasn't initially picked up in the national draft but you need to have that burst of initial speed to get separation from your opponent. This is something he didn't seem to have as a KPP. Now that he is remoulded into a big bodied, inside mid he still really needs that burst of initial speed to get a meter away from his opponent. Wish him all the luck in the world but he feels a little like Matthew Bate 2012.

I really liked him in the U-18's class. he was an in-betweener, but a very reliable one. polished in a lot of areas, & maybe before the big body mids were in vogue.

there is a lot to like about Panos. rookie for sure if avail'. def' not a dinckhead.

Maybe players like this would be a reason why ND53 is important to us?

Didn't Jetta andTtom McDonald go around this pick? Also wasn't Hird somewhere in the 60s?

Why?

So did we under Bailey (Tapscott, Strauss,Trengove etc). takes more than that.
