Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

Featured Replies

This is probably a worst case scenario for us. We can't trade him and he'll stay on the list still injured :(

All those riddles for nothing. Get well JT.

And this is where GNF will chip in with "due to unfortunate circumstances, the trades that I was just screwing with peoples heads will not eventuate anymore".

Jack T's non-trade means we won't get pick 12. Unless a similar pick can be found it puts paid to GNF's 2 elite player deal...so we may never know who they were...GNF's reputation remains in tact.

Plan B Brayshaw and Petracca looking good. Wouldn't be unhappy with that. All the best Jack, you didn't deserve this.

Have a feeling he stuffed it trying to complete the medical :/

That's what I heard. Will be furious if its revealed Richmond pushed him too hard, obviously...

This has to be investigated

and if it turns out thats what happened the AFL must force them to give us their pick 12

You know the Dees were adamant that Richmond approached them, and the trade was essentially up to Jack. Could it be that this 'magical behind the scenes riddling trade' is actually separate?

Am keeping the faith. He will give himself every chance.

We can hope.

Going to be lots of tin foil hat stuff now.

Posted this in the other thread, seems more appropriate here:

Seems pretty clear what is going on. We realise Trengove's foot is done and we try to sell him to Richmond while he still has value. In the meantime we try to shop around our potential picks, see if anyone is interested (I very much doubt anyone was).

GNF what the hell is going on? You throw us round the bend on this stupid guessing game?

Feel for Trengove, has been dealt a really [censored] hand in life, and if we tried to shop around an injured player then the club has a lot to answer for too. Will only have burned our bridges with any future trades with Richmond.

As a few on here have guessed, if Sydney is the trading partner we'd need to stump up picks. JT would have been an avenue to getting the right picks needed, if Sydney is the unnamed trade partner I'd expect Watts and Toumpas to be shopped as a way of us getting additional 1st round picks.

Poor fella. I have known Jack since he was a little boy. Sadly, It'll be hard for him to come back from here, could well be the end, he'll never be the same. Very sad.

Trengove and 23 to Richmond for 12. Will likely be wrapped up today apparently.

Being reported on Trade radio as we speak that the deal is all but done.

Shows what they know.

Wouldn't be surprised if he sues the clubs medical staff down the track

Seems like his foot problems went undiagnosed for a long time and now hes unfortunately paying the price

This is a disaster for all concerned. Clearly it disrupts the grand plan. I am unaware of what MFCs plans, whether that is to cover with another player or change tact. Truely aweful news. All the best to JT, his injury us now very much career threatening.

I will still unriddle at weeks end.

My thoughts exactly. The lad certainly tried. He was also prepared to move and try fresh fields as they were.

Not a good day at all for him. He'll need good mates and sage advice.

Gee whiz, its bad enough for the fella and the club do we need to further our depression with such premonitions..

Ha Ha, the same organization that has refused us a PP for 2 years

Might have an action against the Tigers, if they were negligent in their demands of him, knowing he was coming back from injury.

Dees "blindsided" by Trenners foot.
