dees189227 12,538 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 seriously you would just want to hit boomer harvey wouldnt you. when he was having a go at hawkins, hawkins if he wanted to would just flatten him. geelong are playing woefully. They are missing targets, fumbling and turning it over.
rjay 25,434 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Everytime I watch north and Richmond in the finales it make me sick because we were a head of them in our rebuild now there both playing finals and we are second last again on our 3rd rebuild. We were never ahead of North, they always had the edge on us but we should have been somewhere near or approaching them now.
rjay 25,434 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 seriously you would just want to hit boomer harvey wouldnt you. when he was having a go at hawkins, hawkins if he wanted to would just flatten him. geelong are playing woefully. They are missing targets, fumbling and turning it over. The signs have been there for a while. Their senior players have been making mistakes over the last year that show they don't have a lot of time left. Think the Mackie kick, Kelly badly beaten by Thomas early, Bartell ineffective, Enright making mistakes, Taylor not being allowed any space. Of the kids Cady started poorly but really got them back into the game late in the first quarter, Duncan is going ok but the others have been unsighted. Murdoch 1 kick in a half of footy, Thurlow 2, Guthrie 2.... Think you might see more retirements after this game from the Cats.
1964nowMORE 493 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Finally it's starting to show that players like Guthrie and Horlin Smith aren't actually any good. As bartel, Johnson, mackie and co ease down the rest look less than stars........fantastic. Go Roos.
P-man 13,367 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Can't believe Norf are (in all likelihood) going to be in a Prelim. Their supporters are going to be insufferable.
pantaloons 2,019 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Immense result tonight for North if they get up. It'll only be the third time in 29 semi finals since the AFL introduced the non-costing-Melbourne-a-premiership finals system in 2000 that the team from the bottom half of the top 8 has won through to the prelim.
chook fowler 19,784 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 What is it about small forwards that make you want to slap them ( or worse ). Feel that way about Harvey and Thomas.
Robot Devil 1,895 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I just get the feeling that *if* Bruce McAveney was ever to curse live on air it would be to scream "Fark yeah" after a Geelong goal.
Cards13 9,117 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Hawkuns could play for Melb, butter.
Chook 15,086 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 What I wouldn't give to have Joel Selwood at Melbourne.
Deetective Sgt. Taggert 389 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Immense result tonight for North if they get up. It'll only be the third time in 29 semi finals since the AFL introduced the non-costing-Melbourne-a-premiership finals system in 2000 that the team from the bottom half of the top 8 has won through to the prelim. But would we have beaten The Doggies or Sydney in the preliminary in 1998?
3Dee 1,153 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Let's draft Joel Selwood, he clearly seems unhappy at the Cats tonight
Cards13 9,117 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 How did Swallow have prior opportunity? ? F me umpiring and commentating is poor.
rjay 25,434 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 How did Swallow have prior opportunity? ? F me umpiring and commentating is poor. Good decision, he put his head down into the player coming the other way. Not only dangerous but a free kick every day of the week.
rjay 25,434 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Finally it's starting to show that players like Guthrie and Horlin Smith aren't actually any good. As bartel, Johnson, mackie and co ease down the rest look less than stars........fantastic. Go Roos. They're ok but you can't replace champions a few are gone and a few are coming to the end. It will take a big q from Bartel, Kelly and Taylor to get the Cats out of this tonight. Do they have one last effort in them?
Cards13 9,117 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Good decision, he put his head down into the player coming the other way. Not only dangerous but a free kick every day of the week. Disagree he had 0 prior duck or not.
Dee1987 277 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Looking more likely that Geelong's season will be over in half an hour an Frawley can finally end speculation and leave as suspected
DemonOX 8,857 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 seriously you would just want to hit boomer harvey wouldnt you. U could add Selwood to that too dees. Funny how when it doesn't go his way he has a hissy fit!
rjay 25,434 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Disagree he had 0 prior duck or not. It wasn't a duck he charged the oncoming player with and put his head down as a battering ram. Free kick.
Cards13 9,117 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Ps Timmy Watson is doing an Obama tan suit
chook fowler 19,784 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Started wanting Norf to win Now going for the Cats.
The Hallowed Turf 95 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I hope Motlop is injured cause he's been shite tonight. Varcoe has improved but he is still a liability.
Cards13 9,117 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 It wasn't a duck he charged the oncoming player with and put his head down as a battering ram. Free kick.Again disagree, you still need prior opp to dispose of the ball, he had 0. Wrong call.
jane02 3,797 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 North are starting to look a bit unhinged.
