Posted where ?

Take it with a grain of salt, but I saw this posted:

"Dangerfield will be meeting with Melbourne early next week.

Melbourne are keen to get Dangerfield on an offer of $850-900k per year for 5 years.

Melbourne have proposed trading pick 2 plus compensation pick for Frawley (assuming it's end of 1st round). There may have to be another pick upgrade or players involved to get it over the line but Crows and Dangerfield are considering.

This would help the lack of elite young talent at the Crows after the whole Trigg/Tippet saga."

So basically trading pick 2 and 3 for Dangerfield plus extras on the sidelines..?

Cant say I would do that deal.

Should we be interested in Smedts?

nnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Why would Danger want to come to play for Melbourne?

There is only one thing that would get him here.

And that might be the wrong reason to get him.

BTW.taylor hunt nnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Neither would I one of the picks and a player yes, but not both of them unless the Crows were giving us Danger and their first pick

It's the only reason any of them do anything though

Why would Danger want to come to play for Melbourne?

Cause he wants to play in finals.

Haha, got ya :)

High maintenance!

Another rumour; apparently we've offered Tex Walker $5mil over 5 years, and we're also into Tom Mitchell, Sam Reid and Malceski.

This is just rumours that I've seen so I don't know exactly how much credibility that they hold, but just thought I'd post that and the previous rumour of Dangerfield.

I've also seen suggested that we could be after Frost (GWS) for replacement for Chip...

I still don't understand why people keep suggesting x backman or x backman to replace Frawley, he's hardly played down back all year...

Interesting to hear that Casboult is yet to re-sign with the Blues.

I wonder if they're still keen on Watts? Straight swap right there...

Just reported on Footy Show, Casboult is off the market and has resigned

One thing is for sure we will be linked with nearly every player who is available.

It's gunna be hard to try and c through the bs to c what is genuine

You're not wrong, Brisbane are harping on about how much extra salary space they have, but if they want to spend $600k on a ruckman than good for them, we'll aim higher and target Tex, Dangerfield, players of that ilk, splash around a few extra 100K's at them and there you have it. You'd expect that we'd have more cap space than them with Clark, Chip, etc gone.

I suppose if we shake the tree hard enough something will fall out hopefully.

Apparently Port are going to offer Tex $5m over 5 years for 2016 start.

Yep, heard that too.

Damn this period of time and being a kahootz.

not necessarily, we might get an end of first round pick for frawley. Which isn't a bad deal.

For all those who think Jurrah would be worth a look as a rookie again. Move on. That boat has sailed, have a look at this kid.

Has booted 60 goals and is in the draft combine. Kicks then from everwhere and loves a screamer.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

  • POSTGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
