Turning history on its head: our 13th premiership

Featured Replies

We get an extra 3 flags and another (I think) 9 runners-up (although it seems that it was primarily the team that finished on top of the ladder that won the flag, back in the day) Well done.

Now it's the elusive 16th that we're after ...

I kind of like the idea of North Melbourne returning to their original name of Hotham :))

You mean Hoffam?

theres absolutely nothing as to coincidence this is Fitzpatricks work.....

honestly....wish hed just go somewhere

Ridiculous.
As much as it pains me to say this (as it would result Melbourne having 0 premierships), the real ball game began in 1990 when the AFL began. The VFL was a different beast compared to the era that stretched from the 90's until now, The 1990 till now period is the one that truly matters in my eyes.

This retroactive re-writing of history is truly pathetic. If Fitzpatrick wants to do this to allow Carlton to bask in their own self importance a little longer then good for him. It will just divert their attention away from how big a rabble they are now.

Sounds a lot like more change for the sake of change, as typifies the philosophy of the AFL Commission.

yes, given his love for history and tradition maybe cameron schwabb is consulting on this

It seems good and bad,but we would finally get past that 13th flag :)

So we will be striving to win our first AFL flag, which is the reality anyway.

Adding 3 more to the 12 I already never saw means jack sh.. to me.
Give me 1 before I'm too old to care.
