Stays forward.

Leave Pedo in the backline....he looked okay against GWS.

Watched the game for the first time tonight and thought he did okay too.

Just thought as far as talls go, he'd go out when one came in. Happy either way, he was no way a liability last week.

Heard that too. Then they had a good chuckle at the fact that Byrnes and Pedo were commanding $$ way in excess of anything they'd get elsewhere, if indeed other clubs would have them..

I still think Pedo looked okay in the backline.

He's no star, he's agricultural, no finesse, but he's accountable, can be coached and has a decent kick on him.

Time to stop bagging him methinks....

I taped it as I watched it live.....couldn't watch it again....lost too much blood outta me fingertips and clenched me teeth so hard, I had a headache.

Was just relaying what I heard.

I'm not a fan, but agree he went OK the other day.

I've had reservations about him but if he has an appropriate match-up he does okay. Don't put him on a smaller opponent or a mobile bug guy. Other than that he's alright.

We don't need to do that much this week. Bring in Dawes if he's good to go. Other than that? We need pace in the backline to counter the likes of Garlett and Yarran who often do a lot of damage against us. I'd love to see Clisby getting a shot there. He has pace, willingness to compete and is a pretty decent kick. I don't see dropping Fitzpatrick as a real solution just yet. He needs to go to Casey at some point to get his mojo back against some weaker opponents, but right now we are still very short of talls. He's still the man to play second ruck/forward for now, and we'll need it against Warnock.

As far as matchups go, I sat TMac goes to Waite as a shut-down role. This frees up Frawley to play on their lesser tall (Caboult?) and run off him as a rebounding attacking threat. As I said, I'd like to see some more pace in the small defenders to counter their little guys, so Clisby to come in and go to Garlett.

Their midfield isn't the quickest around, so we should be able to hold our own in there, although I suspect we'll get another drubbing in the hitouts. McKenzie is a possibility to come in and tag a playmaker, but I'm not sure it's really necessary and there is always the question of who gets dropped. Much as I'd like to have Garland come in, I think he'll be sent to Casey to show some form first.

Assuming we have Dawes back in the side, there is no need to play Fawley up forward again. While he showed some fight, he isn't a forward and will be more comfortable and productive playing second tall defender. Dawes and Fitz as two talls will give us a bit more structure and potency and will make more room for Dunn (assuming he stays forward) to work in as the third tall(ish) option.

Basically, changes amount to Dawes in, Pedersen out and Frawley goes back to the backline. Clisby a maybe to come in for someone.

Have we got 22 desparate contested ball players?

Which running players would they be??

Am I coaching or something?

How would you feel about doing all the rub-downs?

Think Dawes & Garland are both locks to play this week and maybe either Blease or Clisby.

That would be great but I am not getting the same vibe (VFL and probably 60-70% game time)

Do we play for the Ron Barassi Cup here, with the Vin Catoggio medal?

Actually it's the Brent Heaver Trophy that's up for grabs.

I still remember the headline the day after his five-goal debut against the Blues: "Heave a ho for Heaver"

Would be interesting to know what Roos sees in Strauss - time will tell. I still have hope for Strauss but it is no doubt his last roll of the dice.

Or anyone! People always mention on here about his "elite kicking" but i have never seen it.

Or i ever see is forwards taking marks in front of him. grrrrrr

My feeling is that Dunn has to go back. The only time we have looked dangerous coming out of the back half in the past three weeks has been through Dunn's ball use either switching or penetrating through the zone lines. Not even taking into account the significant difference he makes to our kick in's. It's scary that he possibly is our best forward & back ATM. So Howe forward for mine working as a high half forward not as an inside 50 marking target. Think they will play Dawes as it will provide a structure to make Howe more dangerous.

Also think Terlich will make way - think Roos will want to send a message that you play to my ideals or make way.

Outs: Terlich & JKH

Ins: Dawes & Clisby

If Garland could also come in for Georgiou that would be good but I don't think it will happen. Bail, Byrnes, Pedo and Fitzy are players that would be first to be replaced if possible. Would rather McKenzie, Trenners, Strauss or Jetta over Byrnes.

With Clark now retired can we upgrade Jetta?

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
