The continuing saga of Melbourne's injury list - 2014

Featured Replies

Dawes back this week.... It's a start!

I was appalled to see Jesse Hogan hyperextending his back on a video clip shown on TV Channel 9 last night. That is the worst possible thing to do for anyone's back let alone someone with an injury. Who on earth has told him to stretch that way??

Is he injured?

Didn't he say he'd recovered from the injury and now just had to get his conditioning right?

Honestly, if you're going to troll, you need to try harder.

Viv's out for 4 with a busted jaw.

This is not trolling. Nobody should be stretching their back like that.

Oh ok, only 97% of your posts are then.

Anyway, I saw nothing wrong with the way he was stretching.

The fitness staff obviously saw nothing wrong with it.

Maybe you should pop down the club and offer your chiropractic expertise..?

I don't see why you are being unpleasant. I'm a doctor and I'm concerned that he has been given the wrong advice. I will contact the club directly.

I've seen enough of your posts to know what you're like.

Because I tell the truth whereas the others on here can't face the truth.

I can't handle the truth

Of music? Optometry, Biblical Studies perhaps Doctor of Practical Theology

I don't doubt your concern, but I think the club medicos have a better handle on Hogans condition than the rest of us.

Witch Doctor are you, statement or question?

Dawes back this week.

I just re-read this. Does it mean this week he has injured his back?

I can't handle the truth

I can't either.

Which reminds me. I had to laugh hearing Malthouse say he didn't see the loss against the bombers coming. He really was Neelds mentor wasn't he.

Haha..I thought the same thing.

Thanks for the chuckle.

Officially -

Chris Dawes (calf) – available
Colin Garland (ankle) – available
Max Gawn (hamstring) – test
Jesse Hogan (back) – 4-5 weeks
Viv Michie (jaw) – 4-6 weeks
James Strauss (foot) – available
Luke Tapscott (hamstring) – 1 week

With Max Gawn a possibility to return, that makes four blokes who could be available to play for Casey against Geelong. Almost worth the drive to the Fields.

And they're far more definitive about Jesse Hogan - instead of TBA, he's now a 4 - 5 week proposition which makes his back marginally better than Viv Michie's jaw.

It will be far more fun than the G on Saturday WJ

Looke like Barret was right about Hogan being out for 8 weeks.

Tapscott again? How does this guy get injured so much?

Body not up to the rigours of modern AFL and he has a few mates.
