direction...leadership influence outcome

people not see the flow ?

You dont wait, you make

its everything about leadership

Your making a fool of yourself like I just said he's had 7 coaches in 8 yrs.

I agree mjt. BB is being unrealistic.

But do you always have to add things like 'making a fool of yourself'. It is possible to disagree with someone without abuse.

Some don't have it, BB.

Can't be conjured overnight.

thats at least a valid counterpoint

unlike others

but then if he doesnt have it...how is he in the leadership group

If he makes claims he ought to back them up.

Seems to me he wants it both ways.

I make more of it that he makes a stance now, seems rather theatrical and contrived.

Hes had 7 coaches in 8 years, he's probably had enough.

Granted. But not a coach of Roos' calibre.

Very idealistic, but there is no one man team in the AFL.

He is but one man, and he has toiled manfully for many years.

I don't blame him for waiting.

But I also think you are misrepresenting the situation as if he has been unreasonable.

I'd appreciate you naming one single player who has made a different decision at such a stage.

How about you put

<lighthearted> ....... </lighthearted>

around your remarks to make it clear to us precious types when you are being lighthearted and when you are being abusive.

Well, negotiations are precarious….he needs some encouragement? Mentoring? Perhaps, deep down, this is the promotion he has always craved, but couldn't verbalise?

I still think he's an exceptional player and must not be lost...

I agree wholeheartedly with the notion of mentoring.

Dont get me wrong....beyond my bemusement and scathing indifference is a will that he stays. But he has to want to stay and if not then what ever is

Who ever is in his his ear is doing no favours....to whatever is nibbling away at his concioussness and evoking ( for mine ) an unrealistic understanding of what awaits and indeed what are the choice.

Om dead curious as to why even broach this subject now....seems agenda driven

You have complained in the past at others, invariably Machsy, being abusive toward you - and here you are being indignant.

If you don't like this community, mjt, there is no law or academic requirement I have heard of that keeps a person here.

You seem to think we're a tribe.

We're not.

how is this even a story?

No players sign contracts this early before they are out of contract, unless they are hacks who are lucky to be offered one

I think there's an undercurrent of loyalty that you're alluding to here. The ol' playing for the jumper...

That's now a changing mindset, brought about by several 'I am loyal and love the Club' players jumping ship for coin, motivation, greater prizes, or whatever.

Chip's manager is in his ear….make no mistake about that.

Then best you leave , I wasn't replying to sue or you so mind your own business , who do you think you are telling people to leave the forum, the only person that wasn't insulted was BB 59 and he was the one I was replying to.

rpfc likes to think he is the thought police around here. Be PC or just learn to deal with the constant ankle biting.

Not wrong .

I'm with beelzebub on this. You can hold back until you see the direction (Watts, Frawley) or you can get in and set the direction (Grimes, Jones, Garland).

its a bit under said isnt it.

Im just curious as to what anyone..ANYONE expects of the future..or of their influence towards it

Again, why is this on the deck now ?? Other clubs 's players get through this but some of ours seem to use it as an excuse for other reasons ( my thinking )

The Dees would surely be stepping out on the best path they have since my living memory.... yet some dont buy in ?? yeah right esp as an elected leader. yeah..shred me by all means . Im not convinced he's dead set

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
