Personally I love his stats on Aggression , Marking and Aerobic ability , if his Kicking is his only real downside,I am sure that can be addressed .

Gunston has the performances on the board and has been in the system quite a while, he can't be included.

With Boyd yet to play senior footy many of his ratings remain to be tested.

It's been noted that he's susceptible to niggle, even at TAC level.

I'll wait and see. Should though be interesting.

Yeah true 2009, he puts a bloke like Watts to shame, that kid can seriously play he just seems to be in the right spot all the time.

BMIs are Boyd 25.8, Hogan 25.5, Patton 25.8 and Danners 23.3.

A 'size' score of 8.9 could easily be argued for Hogan.

Being in the best kicking side in the comp helps you be in the right spot I would think but there is no doubt he then finishes his work very well. He doesn't let his teammates down so why wouldn't you kick to him.

Happy with Hogan and he will develop well under Paul Roos and now that the midfield has had some attention, timing is perfect...

It is pretty funny but it's all part and parcel of the game. We all need to wind each other up or take the bait and get in a good footy argument even if it doesn't make sense. 'mjt's' thrown the Gunston hand grenade into this one to get things moving along and somehow we've got a bit of Watts in there as well.

What do they base leadership on? The way he conducted himself on field in the VFL I would think 6.8 is a joke.

Absolutely. I was there the day Casey played the Northern Blues and they had Matthew Watson standing him at full back. Watson was a late first round pick and was in his third season on their list but Hogan led him a merry dance all day until Watson (who was noticeably blowing) had to be taken off him. That's what I call leadership!!!

Funny how someone mentioned Gunston but no comment on the undeniable top key forward in Cameron.

Of the rest Patton has done two knees and was never the most athletic. I see a lot of potential but he's coming from a mile back. I think he'll be like a Tom Hawkins. A big monster but never the most maneuverable and therefore if off his game he'll struggle.

Daniher and Boyd are these new breed of 200cm types. They'll take a longer time to develop but both have that Kurt Tippett like ability to ruck and to just be too darn big for defenders. Boyd is stronger, Daniher more rangy. I'd be happy with either of them but the reason I like Hogan more is his versatility. He's got the fitness and agility that he can play CHF, FF, crumb goals, lay big tackles, out run big defenders, over power weaker ones.

Can't see why Hogan falls behind in strength, speed, versatility (can play CHB) and kicking (field and goal kicking both good), along with the absurd leadership rating (a kid who is fiercely competitive, works hard, hates losing and hasn't come close to an indiscretion to date).

I think these ratings have been largely educated guesses by the author, and at the end adjusted because Hogan came out too far on top, making it a comical comparison.

Can safely say Hogan is way better than the other 3 and I dont even feel biased saying it

I have been limited in my viewing of both Patton and Boyd but can say I have watched a fair amount of Daniher and Hogan including watching them both at Windy Hill in the VFL this year. The one thing that I think Hogan has over all is presence. The one thing I am confident he has over all of them is a bit of mongrel.
