But that's despite the point, Pickett wasn't a thug and never took cheap shots, any heavy bumps/hits of his were always in play.

theres a difference between laying a big shepherd in an era where that was allowed and occasionally getting it wrong (Byron) and kicking people in face/elbowing them in the head (Brown).

C. Brown is a f log of the highest order. Tom scully is a far lesser f log.

There is no place for a player like Brown in TODAY'S footy unless he cleans up his game, on and off the field. And he's already said he's not going to do that. Regardless of who you propose to drop off the list to make way for, Brown is unwanted. At his age and condition, going the knuckle is his only remaining 'strength'.

I do. Brown is a first class DH and a complete thug to boot. Nicho is not.

I heard Brendan McCartney say on SEN that for him when determining who to take in the draft more than 50% of the decision is based on character. Brown wouldn't even get drafted these days.
