Server Move and Server Errors & Fatal Errors

Featured Replies

the video is more about dns searching and address resolution rather than than propagation (update) of new server name addresses

but anyway....it was cute

Ban the uploading of gifs and this site will be twice as fast. Well it won't but it would be a canny way to discourage the out of control obsession with the gif on this site.

Anyone still using the site2 link to get here?

You can test whether your ISP is sending you to the new server by clicking the Home button near the top left of the page. If you are taken to the Demonland homepage then you are here and you no longer need to use the site2 link. If you go to the Demonland is currently unavailable page then you are not.

funny thing just happened

i've been on the new site all day without doing anything special

i just refreshed my demonland screen and up popped the old site with the message

doesn't bother me but just strange

Anyone else receiving an Internal Server Error message. I have been getting them all afternoon. I hope we haven't broken the new server already. What's going to happen if we land a big fish during the Trade period?

Nasher will have to pedal faster.

I did when I returned to the computer after some hours working outside. (internal error something)

I just hit the demon tab at the bottom of the page, & it took me to the up dated demons page.

alls good now.

Thank goodness thought it was due to my excessive use!

oops

just got one from the josh kelly thread

{Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 5767168) (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /home/demonlan/public_html/forums/ips_kernel/classDb.php on line 1178}

It may make you blind, but I'v never heard it was fatal.

Same problem here on a few occasions. Just have to press the Back Button & try again. Usually goes in OK on second try.

likewise

Probs about time I subscribed anyway. Gonna miss those CougarLife ads.

thanks for the generous contribution and to the all the others who have taken out a life membership or donated over the past few days. All of it will be going towards upgrading the server so these error don't happen. I can only image what will happen once trade month is in full swing, not to mention the draft.

If anyone wants to take out a life or annual membership with Demonland you can do so here: http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/subscriptions/

If you've already taken out a subscription and want to donate you can do so here: http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/donate/

Cheers and Thanks again to those who have lent a helping hand. It is very much appreciated.

The irony that i clicked on this thread and it didn't work because i got an internal server error

i've been getting a few of these too, but if i just hit refresh its fine.

Getting hammered with it at the moment

me to.

Internal Server Error Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Refresh works just as well. It's not a show stopper.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

Melbourne and Hawthorn who face off against each other this week have more in common than having once almost merged and about to wear a blue jumper with a red v triangle and an embroidered picture of a bird on the front.  They also share the MCG as their main home ground, their supporters are associated with the leafy suburbs of Melbourne and in recent times, James Frawley graced the colours of both teams. Even more recently, both have bounced back from disastrous five game losing streaks to start off a season. Of course, the Hawks turned their bounce into a successful leap from the bottom of the ladder into a finals appearance, making it to the semifinals in 2024 and this year, they’re riding high in third place on the AFL table. The Demons are just three games into their 2025 bounce back, and are yet to climb their way out of the bottom four although they are sitting a game and percentage out of the top eight. However, with the current sportsbet odds of $3.90 to win this week’s encounter, it seems a forlorn hope that their upward progression will continue much longer.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
