And there's the rub. Any other ground and that's a free kick and a two goal lead. Watch the head ducking in the last quarter. It will reach new heights.

Johnson is a sore, sore loser. Well done freo!

Geelong was out coached. He inherited a champion team but, really, the jury is out. Spends too much time wanting to smash phones.

Dockers! Brilliant effort. To be only the second team to beat Geelong in Geelong in the last six seasons is phenomenal.

Home preliminary final means you can probably rule out Sydney, Richmond and Carlton. Hawthorn now has the prospect of playing Geelong in the preliminary final, but Geelong has to beat (likely) Collingwood next week, which is no certainty.

In other words, the finals just got interesting.

Ahh to see that Cat Woman in the crowd at the end....Shattered....i love it.

"And the winner isn't Geelong...."

The Cats lose at the Cattery....how awesome an effort was that from the Shockers.

People who do not rate Ross Lyon are mad...i hope he and Roosy lock horns soon.

Collingwood's run at the flag just took a turn for the better. They've won their last three games against Geelong. I'm sure they'd much prefer them than a trip to Perth off a six day break.

That's kind of sickening, but I guess watching Geelong lose in straight sets would be enjoyable too.

Well done Fremantle, Ryan Crowley is a [censored] but my word he does his job well.

Would have him in a heart beat.

Hawthorn will drop nuggets if Geelong win next week

I'm not sure about that this time around. Looking at Hawthorn last night, they'd beat Geelong quite comfortably IMO.

Full credit to Freo. Playing as the away team at Skilled and winning is no mean feat.

I tipped Sydney last night and they were poor for a lot of last night, especially the 2nd half.

I tipped Freo this afternoon when I saw that McPharlin, Pav, Ballantyne and Sandilands were all in.

When I was young Collingwood were hated by everyone. That has changed. All those 20 and younger now hate the Hawks with the same passion my generation hated Collingwood. Why? Because of the arrogance of their supporters after the 2008 premiership.

As for Geelong, their supporters now believe that winning is their right and are quickly becoming detested by other supporters.

It's great to see Freo, Port and the Tiges in. Next year maybe the Roos and either Brisbane or Gold Coast.

I am old enough to remember what Tigers' fans were like in the 70s. The Tiges are my most hated side, closely followed by Hawk fans. Oddly enough, I have never hated Collingwood.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
