this year is irrelevant

its about next year

Geez bb have not heard that in the last 7 years!!!

It's getting a bit monotonous tbh and quiet frankly very farting annoying.

We need CASH and sponsorship. We get sponsors in April and May !! Its embarrassing.

I will judge his appointment when we get major sponsors !!!

I reckon there will be a few bombers ones looking for new homes in 2014

Kia would look good on a red and blue background.

yeah I know

but...but...this time....

fear not ( well not much maybe ^_^ )

You do know next year never comes?

Its high time Joseph (Gutnick) was back about the club again...

how about it Jo,, come on back & support the club again... we've learnt most of our needed lessons.

And we don't play matches anymore on Friday nights or Saturday afternoon so you can watch all the games live.

we need cash flow and sponsorship. It should not be the job of the CEO to do it all.

It is a clever move if he is the right choice.

Office next door to PJ....

Of course he's the right choice he's AFL appointed, Mark Neeld and Cameron Schwab could be the best things to ever happen to this club.

Wasnt he that guy who piloted the qantas airbus after the engine blew up?

Good man to have on board if he has experiences in avoiding plane crashes, because we basically are one.

That was Richard de Crespigny, though I'm sure they're all related. For those on this site who bemoan public school boys, the Champion de Crespigny family are strongly connected with Melbourne Grammar.

Yes i have thought that at times don't worry!!!

I know him loosely through uni and common friends. He's a good man, a football person, switched on and a good operator from all reports. Obviously he will be trying mightily to right the ship, so he has a big job ahead of him!

Thanks for that Supermerc. Solid CV for the job based on the following snippet :

"De Crespigny later served as the AFL's Business Development Manager and Manager Corporate Partners before moving to the ACT and becoming General Manager of Brumbies Rugby for the Rugby Union side."

Another AFL connected appointment. If he was good enough for them he's good enough for us. Wouldn't want his job in the next couple of years. Hope it's not performance based, I wouldn't want to be trying to get sponsors with the state the Club's in at the moment. Won't be easy until we have a team that starts being competitive and people want to watch.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
