well Neil Craig is definitely not the answer

Who would want to coach this bunch of vfl grade footballers. We won't get the right coach at years end because it would be career suicide. I think its going to be a case of just getting anyone who applies.

Why would any out of contact player or free agent stay?

Watts and Sylvia are part of our problem.

If they don't wanna stay they can F off!

56 to 25 inside 50's and 18 marks to 2 inside 50. When we get the ball down there we can't do anything with it anyway.

I cant see a positive from this game at all. Can anyone help me out as I'm really suffering?

102 now.

Does Trengove have OP?

Melbourne need to come out clarify this once and for all because if he doesn't they need to either completely rebuild his running action or trade him while there is an ounce of value left.

Looks like this worse than the Essendon game. I thought those days of losing by big margins are over.

There will have to be about 10-12 player gone by season end, surely

Wow, we're not even trying now. 5 goals in 7 minutes to the roos.

This is now beyond pathetic! Craig knows he has no chance of coaching, the players have given up and we are 102 points down with 10 mins left in the game.

Gee Lynch is a [censored], "Lachie Hanson is a very good player", LOL..

He is playing the MFC for christs sakes, other than that the blokes a deadset spud.

The V8's are on 7 mate people.

Neil Craig has a lot to answer for.

Made one change last week after playing in those conditions, didn't drops players who did nothing and now we are getting no effort and have no run in the legs. Rookie mistake from someone who should know better. Thanks and goodbye.

I nearly broke the radio on the way home in the car earlier. I'm now on the verge of doing what Sleeve did to the TV now I'm home.

The total lack of accountability is just disgusting. I don't think Norm Smith could get these spuds putting in the required effort to be competitive. Neil Craig sure can't.

It's sad that the radio commentators are saying things like 'stop the fight', 'wave the white flag', 'I've never seen such a mismatch'.

It's sadder that I'm somewhat used to it.

Watts now loose man in defence. Who does this help? Us? No, it means more turnovers if we are even able to get the ball forward. Him? No, it means he gets easy disposals, if any.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
