He was pretty harsh and acknowledged it.

Whilst refreshing, Neeld was pretty harsh too I just hope he doesn't put too many people off side by rubbishing everything the club has done.

He didn't rubbish anyone. He has been a CEO for many, many years at the top level. Neeld was a novice who thought he had it all figured out. Point of difference!

Agreed, just because its obvious and everyone in footy knows it, doesn't mean it needs to be said.

That's gotta be a lesson learned from the Neeld disaster

He basically narrowed the coaching field down to Roos, Eade and Choco.

Everything our club has done recently is rubbish though.

PJ is in a different role to a coach. He isn't working one on one with a young playing list. He is working with experienced men who deserve a kick up the bum. Players don't come into [censored] poor administrative decisions, and they aren't to blame for crap development. In fact, our players have suffered more than most because of our horrible mismanagement.

No mention of Craig, though he wasn't asked so I wouldn't rule him out completely. He wouldn't volunteer it if not asked.

But certainly no possibility of a rookie coach.

I don't know what to read from that, he had a bit of a sneaky grin on his face at the end, CC is gone and thank The Lord for that, Geoff Walsh is a big chance and Roos isn't, pencil in Williams or Eade, very harsh words about former red and blue employees, you would think that would be CC , CS and Gary Lyon, very hard man to read.

I realise this, I just got the feeling the MFC was "them" to him, not "us" so it was pretty easy to bag the club out from that point of view.

we were interviewing Williams last week, things may well be further along than we realise.

Best thing we have going at the club at this stage. We are at rock bottom finally someone who will not settle for second best I really hope this guy hangs around and gets the full support of the board not many will survive after years end and we will be starting from as far back as the expansion clubs probably further

Can't believe they didn't ask him about Craig.

First time poster. Love the [censored] off look on Healy's face when he read between the lines that his good mate CC is GONE!

Said he was interested in getting the best people, and felt there had been too much readiness to get Melboume people rather than the best people from outside.

Made special mention of decisions to remove leadership out of the locker room that has hurt the club (so refreshing to hear someone state this publicly).

Acknowledged the failures in player development, and noted that in the internal reports he had read, there was a sense of purely relying on high draft picks rather than the actual development side.

I am beginning to think there wasn't a whole lot of one on one time with Neeldy and the players.

I think they thought he was a cold blooded and the only thing that was one on one was the whip.

I hope he appoints a coach who can communicate to the players on a personal level and someone who the players want to win for (malthouse)

Can't believe they didn't ask him about Craig.

Blame Gerard Healy, more interested in his old mate Chris Connolys future, rather than asking a more relevant one about Craig. Disappointing and selfish by Healy.

He can view us as an "it" for all I care. He's assessed the situation and knows what it will take to fix it. There is zero [censored] factor with this guy.

as it should be

Can't believe they didn't ask him about Craig.

think

I didn't realize Action Jackson was Dean Baileys older brother

Ha Ha I thought the same, just a bit better tanned .

Everything he said was spot on.

Removing leaders from the locker room

Relying on high draft picks for success

Poor player developlment

The old boys club mentality

I love PJ. I hope he gets us Geoff Walsh.

I don't think he was overly harsh, just stated facts. And did not bother wording them in a flowery way.

I've said it before his man could be one of the most influential people in the history of the club by the time he leaves.
