Would anyone think that instead of Dunn maybe using Pederson as a defender to take the 3rd tall. Pederson seems to read the play well especially from the back line and seems to be able to take marks in the backline in the vfl, if he could play on the 3rd tall and hopefully be a cut out player to take either intercept mark or spoil? I think he would fit the role quite well.

Fair comment.

Apart from a couple of soft efforts, Pederson hasn't been all that bad when in the team. Has some talent and accumulates ball.

I think Pederson can and will be a better afl player than Dunn.

I think you are letting him off. He made both Kosi and Grimley from the hawks look dangerous at times. He also gets the ball but his kicking isn't up to standard. Dunn makes bad decisions by foot but technically is a much better kick.

I'm not sure where the development potential is in Pedersen either. The advantage he has over Dunn is height but he's also slow and can't play small. Dunn is more flexible. Long term we have our 3 tall defenders in Frawley, McDonald and Garland as the third tall. We just need to find another reliable shut down small/ mid sized defender so Garland can be the third tall who also intercepts

huge out

Stating the obvious I know.

If our midfield can come close to breaking even we will win.

correct

Brown is one of those players that has an absolute day out nearly every single time they come up against Melbourne. Our backline is solid, FRawley, Garlo and Tommy Mac should be able to keep their goal tally low even if they burn us for I50 entries

I must say that our team this week seems as good as we can muster, given Clark's injury and Hogan's ineligibilty. Notwithstanding the fact that we will be pursuing mids in the trade and draft periods, our perfomance for the remainder of the year should be a good pointer for 2014.

Neither are up to AFL standard.

Is it just me or is anyone else happy Moloney's missing?

Don't think I could handle another BOG in the same year.

I thought you meant missing from the Melbourne side. Couldnt agree with you more

I dont care who they bring in. I cannot continue to watch Dunn "act tough" with some push and shove then squib 3 contests per week. He is the one player in the side that I seriously cannot stand.

Viney for Nicholson is a clear improvement to our side.

We're still hopelessly weak in the midfield, but Brisbane are very hot and cold, and if we can catch them on the hop early, who knows?

Big match up for me is Gawn-Leuenberger. Gawn has to negate Leuenberger's influence around the ground.

In the surprise of the year, I could not agree more.
