I love this man! He is tough, skilled and composed. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him play... We've actually drafted a well rounded player!

Needs to work on his kicking, because he's a great reader of the play and doesn't have a problem finding the ball. Decision making is his problem at this stage. With another 20 or 30 games under his belt and hopefully we'll start to an improvement on that level. He could become a very important part of our defensive puzzle.

How could you possibly forget Kent, vibes?

How could I? I really like the cut of his jib. He's got all the makings of a quality big arsed Collingwood-style midfielder. He's one pre-season away from a quality sleeve of tats. The kid is going to make it.

Terlich, will take on anyone, anywhere, anytime. Becoming a favourite.

Terlich is so much better than Morris it isn't funny. Classic Richmond supporters... someone gets 8 touches a game and runs through people and he is suddenly a star!

I am one who thinks Terlich's decision making and disposal CAN be a bit iffy, but last night I can barely remember any errors. He played a blinder.

Certainly just a "good ordinary" footballer but even the good sides need them. A good pickup.

Not a bad rookie draft he was part of. Mumford, Stevenson, Grima, Moles, Hanley, Petrenko, Laidler, Ellard, Curnow, B. Martin, Wilkes.

In a Cotchin Kruzier draft - it was a strong year and glad for us he stuck at it.

Certainly just a "good ordinary" footballer but even the good sides need them. A good pickup.

His decision making is ambitious not iffy. He will sometimes go for the aggressive option and take the game on. But blimey that's what we need! A decent hard working midfield for him to get the ball to would make life even easier. His kicking is fine. He's not laser like but very few are.

Last night his worst decision was a kick from about 30 out of the 50 back across the ground to a leading Watts who had peeled out of a the centre towards the wing. The kick landed exactly where Watts could've taken it at it's highest point and we would've been on. Now Watts spilt the mark and it is a dangerous place to turn the ball over and led to a goal but the kick itself was perfect. If it was Cloke he kicked to or even Watts 9/10 times last night he holds that mark. If we had a hard working midfield they would've been at Watts' feet in a second and won the ball anyway.

We could still do with a Morris. An angry ultra defensive back pocket is often a handy player to have to set the scene for the side. Maybe with out the false bravado and just with talent like a Nick Smith from Sydney who is still the most underrated and premiere lock down defender in the league. But at the moment I'm happy with our 3 tall defenders and the potential of 3 smalls in Grimes, Terlich and Clisby. Another versatile tall/small defender similar to Garland would really round out the group especially if they could either defend excellently or use the ball excellently. I'm think an Andrew Mackie would be a dream. We've got Dunn in that role at the moment and it's just not the same. In the last quarter last night it was who can we get Dunn to play on because every match up looked a struggle for him when the dogs loaded up with Murphy, Gia, Cooney, Dickson forward.

I'm still thinking Watts is every chance of being the last piece in the defensive puzzle once Hogan slots in forward. That strong saving mark last night got me a little excited about Jack's ability to be a weapon with his skills and size/speed from half back taking intercept marks and launching repelling attacks like the current Geelong and Sydney game plans.

You make some good points here but I can't agree about Watts. His four goals and more importantly excellent presenting got me more excited to be honest. I think it's great seeing back in the forward line because he looks so much more natural down there and more confident. I think he'll be a valuable asset as a high half forward/winger in the future rather than in defense.

double wow....a name check on the Cats site....got him to sign a hat at training today for my lovely lady who is massive fan and comes from a small NSW country town as well,,,,hat now carries his signature, number and "NSW Rocks"....typical laidback country bloke when I spoke to him...looking forward to having a reall crack tomorrow....we are asking for a big bodied mature midfielder for next season, in Dean think we already have him

Yes but its a massive credit to Dean to be seen by one of the greatest clubs in the modern era that he is someone they have to put a close check on him. But also no disrespect to dean it says a lot about our club.

I doubt it. I think he even admits he probably wasn't prepared for AFL footy first time round and spent most of his year injured as well. Not to mention he was trying to make it as a small forward then. He's a completely different player now..

The only reason Jack kicked 4, was Terlich was too busy looking after the other loose forwards that weren't being tagged.

I also think he will run 1 or 2 in the Bluey this year barring injury.

Disposal and decisions have improved over the course of just a single season. Has also been getting the ball more and more.

Early in the year my call was 'love his effort, love his style, but anxious about disposal - so many clangers'.

slowly that's turned into 'I'm going to sit back and watch a good career unfold'.
