Frawley is not up to it

Thought he beat Brown. Pretty harsh. The midfield was hopeless again. Neeld and his team (ie Royal) have yet to improve our set ups from stoppages. The players don't work hard enough and our defenders are exposed on the fast break or have nobody to kick it to once they've won the ball back.

there are so many flogs on this page, from this match i have seen countless stupid threads, and this is another.

although i agree frawley looks disinterested at times, he was solid today, three goals to j-brown, and frawley was actually a decent option on the rebound and ran well. the problem in our backline today was tom mcdonald.

Frawley is a number 1 full back, and when our midfield is able to limit the easy ball that the opposition midfield gets will look even better, joel macdonald should not play as the number one defender ahead of frawley, stupid

absolute morons on here questioning his attitude and all manner of stuff based on warped perceptions, doing a decent job playing in defence for a poor team I reckon

Understatement of the year! There isn't much he can do considering the amount of times the ball is entering the opposition forward 50.

Frawley is by far and away the best Full Back we have had at this club at least since Danny Hughes. I cannot believe some people would even consider being happy to see him go.

With all due respect, he's better than Danny Hughes.

There are plenty of posts about the lack of bulk in our more recent draftees such as Gysberts, Morton and Watts. But Frawley is also undersized for the job he's given. I am now convinced that the Bailey years have set us back enormously because so many of our players are still physically under-developed and still unfit.

And Frawley played pretty well yesterday.

This thread is ridiculous - clearly the vast majority of people are backing Frawley, as they should. The op is a good old fashioned trolling

Are you firetrucking kidding me?! What is this place? A year 7 girls' school gym class where every one says what is 'cool', just so they can fit in?

I had never seen the 'land as united as we were after those three blowouts and with good reason. The standard of football served up was revolting and the effort was naught. I was one of those angry at what was going on and I still have my doubts about Neeld as a coach. I think he is now trying to be a little more conciliatory and trying to develop what he has rather than tear it down if it doesn't immediately come up to scratch but I wonder if it's all too late. (For that I will have some nimrod on here telling me I'm not 'backing the club', of that I'm sure.)

Chip is on a hiding to nothing at the moment. He CLEARLY is very talented. You just don't go from All Australian to 'spud' in the space of three years unless you are injured, out of confidence or, in his case, trying to push back an offensive avalanche. Like a lot of the blokes at the moment, he has lost self belief. I attribute some of that to MN as the attitude taken by the new regime seems to be one of reinforcing constantly how terrible we really are. Part of it has been bought on by just constantly losing. If we lost Chip at the end of the year, the usually 'potatoes' (as in couch potatoes, the ones who haven't played competitive sport whatsoever but come onto the 'Land to enlighten us with their wisdom, a very different kind of spud) would be going on with their usual 'good riddance' BS and then wonder why we can't hold power forwards the very next year.

63 I50's against, playing on their main spearhead (and a star forward, let's not sidestep that), and manages to keep him to three goals?

Yeah, clearly not doing his job.

I'm not entirely sure what you all want from him. Not much more he could do, short of punching some heads of our midfielders every time they screw up and allow yet another easy inside 50 for the opposition.

It's very hard to gauge a player's performance when watching on TV as often you see the outcome but not the process that led to it.

So did Chip play well or not? Not sure, on the face of it holding Brown to 3 goals is not a bad effort.

As for calls to chop Chip...given our stocks and what's possibly available for other clubs I don't see that as a win for us.

What would be great to see (sooner rather then later) is Chip starting to enjoy his footy again.

Anyone notice his efforts manning the mark yesterday? Didnt put his hands in the air, didnt jump, just stood there and watched it sail over his head. Surely, from a member of the leadership group, that is not acceptable.

I like the kid, at his best he is a gun backman, and is very important to the side, but he seems dissinterested at the moment.

I think letting him leave would be a big mistake, but somehow we need to get his head back in the game.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
