Was a jaw dropping moment for me.

Can't recall the last time i saw a player at the MFC do something like that. Maybe Jakovich in full flight, but even then it would only be 2 players max. I think Col brushed off 3 in that run or was i seeing things?

Nupp.

Just watched it, shivers down my spine..

Honestly that was Gary Ablett like..

Sitting here in Melbourne I am told by this pathetic AFL site that I don't have international access!!!!! Whilst I am griping, it is the same site that never bothers to give a mike to the questioner at post game pressers....always a very one sided listen.

EDIT: Just managed to get it from the second link, then when I went back to replay it I got the international BS once again.

If anyone could put it on youtube I would be very grateful.

Just watched the fourth quarter again last night and Sylvia was so so good. It frustrates me so much seeing these glimpses of potential, he could be absolutely anything.

Imagine the work ethic of James Magner with the talent of Colin Sylvia.

Sylvia is the key to us.

Lets hope his form continues and he can drag us out of the mud.

just watched the whole final q for 1st time bloody good that

I don't like these videos' on the AFL's website, as it takes too long to buffer on a Telstra copper line, through a Telstra exchange,,, & I don't want to waste my web capacity on full length game videos'.

I'll have to learn how to edit, & to load youtubes.

bring on the NBN Co...

How crazy is that, when we are at our lowest ebb, we produce our best quarter ever in our history.

Hopefully its the start of the turnaround.

, we produce our best quarter ever in our history.

for much of that history we havent been playing against a team made up of teenage kids whose orange gurnsey colour is remenicent of traffic cones, which is ironic as they played like such in the last quarter

its a combination of things dee-luded

firstly, telstra use a crappy codec setup and secondly, your graphics processor on your pc may not be up to it. Thirdly, line speed is also a factor.

I too have more problems with telstra originated video than any other video source on the web

Now half of the site will call me a pessimist and other names.

But they reminded me of the MFC in the first three games!

He was so briliant in the match.

Even last week was good.

Gotta love BigCol

I have been having some hiccups lately with the increase in video adds as against the stills. I have a core 2 duo E8400 3.00ghz pentium. & a video card slotted in but I'm not sure if it has the correct up to date drivers on the card?

big graphic pages are starting to open slower.

I can run 3 or 4 pages of firefox with multiple tabs on each, but the adds are killing it?

Maybe I'm just too used to seeing Jones doing it. Busting through a couple of players during a clearance, a bit of arrogance and a short run...

Seeing Col do it once in a blue moon is hardly worth the excitement in this thread.

JMO..

also I only have ADSL1,,, as it runs through a telstra exchange & I have to pay telstra their line rental as a bonus for their slow service..

telstra's got the country people bent right over.... & the people don't realise it.

For anyone wanting to put the videos on Youtube, you might want to check out te copyright stuff first... Your Youtube account could go bye-bye

fair enough, i just won't watch them then. if the afl are so greedy.

I remember a couple of years back I was surprised to see that Melbourne had two players and only two players with high numbers of running bounces. Aaron Davey (it was his B&F year) and Colin Sylvia.

On his good days he really does deliver those brilliant moments of breaking from a pack, two bounces at full speed, kick a goal or deliver into 50.

A good spell of good form from him would be enough to push our midfield into the 'properly competitive' grade, backed up by the increasingly consistent performances of Jones and Grimes and what is beginning to look like a refreshed Trengove... things could start to look alright in there.

Can you get adsl2+ where you are?

The problem with Sylvia is that he lifts when the team lifts. When others show some grit and provide the spark, he becomes inspired. He's a 10 season player, he needs to be the one to provide the spark and inspiration. He needs to lift the team.

Thats the thing.....i thought Colin was the one who provided the spark this time.

Only by switching over to telstra I believe, dc... I'm very happy with IInet. & I do not want to go to telstra on principle... telstra charges me $30.00 per month, before I even get started, just for line rental, for copper lines!

telstra has the monopoly on the exchanges in regional Australia, & they won't let Optusnet in, apparently. many smaller suppliers use the optusnet partnership.

I noticed the line slows a bit in peak times & when its wet.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
