GAME DAY - ROUND 1, 2013

Featured Replies

Cant wait till the trade/draft period comes around. Its the only time of year i actually enjoy football.

Gillies appears arrogant, doesn't want to be there. Sellar can't catch

Quickly losing faith in Neeld

Jack Watts - 2 kicks.

So much for being the chosen kicker from the back half.

In 2004 we were a respected, honest, half decent side with some decent talent and some good structures. Look at us now...

Blease, Viney, Jones, Clark, Grimes, Jones. Jamar, Howe

Casey can welcome the rest.

One of the the worst things to happen to our list was jamar and frawley being named all Australian, it's like they achieved that and thought ok we can stop working hard now. Guess what the game has passed you by boys

ffs if this team was a horse they would have shot it by now.

Many owe Old an apology I reckon.

I have a feeling the MFC will need a balaclava and a gun to get my membership money next year if this goes on all year.

When Lobbe is looking like Franklin and Schultz like Plugger, it's time I switched off.

3:16 over and out on gameday.

Pathetic lazy inept.

Viney ckark clear pass

Mckenzie, m jones tried

N jones tagged out

Watts huge FAIL.

Sack the coach. Sack everybody! :)

I'm lucky in that I've only seen bits and pieces on my phone, but from what I've seen I question if the players are trying. Or the game plan is so complicated that the players don't know what they are doing.

Ah let em be hey? According my last demon heartbeat magazine we're doing all the right things

My mate is coming home from the MCG now - he says that (minus a few f's) the players dont want to win.

I missed what Mclardy had to say....what was that about ??

Jesus, Neeld can do all he wants and implement all the structures and do-hickies but when you have a bunch of soft, pea heart, dumb footballers its pretty much pushing sh*t up a hill

Well

We can only get better from here

how many times have we thought that only to be shown otherwise !!!

Is there any chance that the flu went though the club during the week. I'm trying to find a reason for this other then the we need another rebuild.

The book they sent out with membership said we were traking well and far ahead of last year - fitness was building, skills improving, things looking up...

As you can see...

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
