I'm working hard this morning to make up enough time to enable me to get out to Casey Fields for today's practice games.

The Dolphins led at the half but the Scorps produced a barnstorming finish to run out easy winners.

No, definitely not him. It could be Clisby because I can't see anyone wearing # 70 and the player wearing # 76 and seems to fit the description I have of him i.e he's medium height and blond.

Meanwhile, although Casey has been doing most of the attacking, the Dolphins are showing more purpose and have kicked the last two goals in quick time to lead by 5 points.

A goal to Brayden Fowler gives the Scorps a 1 point lead - 2.2.14 to 2.1.13.

The Flash is too classy for this company. Scores his team's third goal just before quarter time.

It's starting to drizzle a bit during the first break with the Casey Scorpions leading 3.4.22 to Frankston 2.2.14. The change in conditions is likely to have a bit of an impact on the game.

Rain coming down now. Goals to Fitzpatrick and Gent were answered by one from Frankston. Scorps lead by 14 points.

It's a very lacklustre game. Seen in the crowd, Todd Viney, former skipper and Demon great, now better known as the father of and a landlord to a few promising young Demons .

First goal of the second half to Casey's Tim Smith and then Aaron Davey marks and kicks truly. The margin goes out to 28 points and the Scorpions are in control.

With the rain getting heavier, we saw some great attack on the footy from Frankston which is the way to go in these conditions. The Dolphins are playing it hard and it's paying dividends as they fight back and kick two goals.

Casey's lead is now down to 10 points with another Dolphin goal. The Casey defenders are being caught flat footed and the team is in danger of allowing the game to slip out of its grasp.

There's not much to enthuse about for Demon fans. With a dozen AFL listed players on the field you would expect the home side to dominate but the reality is they're being shown up in many departments. I can only see Aaron Davey and Nev Jetta in contention for the opening game in a fortnight's time. Most of the rest either won't ever make or or are a long way off.

The difference is now 5 points after Frankston record the first goal of the final term at the 6 minute mark.

Spencer is just going in the ruck, doing no more than breaking even. Fitzpatrick is alternating between ruck and forward but only has one goal. This is about their standard.

Meanwhile, a miskick from Davis gifts the lead to Frankston whose pressure is fantastic.
