36 point up and flash playing in the guts and playing well too

They just asked chris yarran who has impressed him the most and he said Aaron Davey. said he has been a massive influence and was shocked he didn't get the captaincy as he put his hand up. and he is right Aaron should have been made captain tonight. playing well also.

But good to hear he got a massive pump up by Chris Yarran. Said he hopes he does real well for the demons this year and is looking very fit!

Its also fair to say that Aaron has ticked most boxes this pre season and is doing real well!

What does streaming mean?

I get about 15 seconds of vision before whatever's on the screen freezes and you lose the action.

AS well ahead at half time.

Is techno speak for "need NBN".

Disclaimer

I'm 56 yrs young, so I may have no idea.

Another clearence / free kick to flash. Spell in the cente good for the confidence. Davey just links with Betts and stiffy for a goal after a genuine don't argue.

Burst of speed from Davey and a trademark pass that results in another goal to the all stars

What about Davey's hit on the chest while kicking off balance! Dee-licios!

Great bit of play just then from Flash. Apart from a couple of missed tackles he's moving really well, skills are back & looks confident.

Hell yes. Without getting stupid, the signs are good!

How good was the kick from Flash that led to the All-stars goal!! He is looking very good tonight. Can he produce this in the season proper? Gee I hope so because he isn't just playing well - he is leading the team. Bring it, Aaron.

O'Loughlin pumping up Flash's tires at 3 quarter time. Reckons he'll go close to best on ground.

How is Nev playing?

Ball rarely in Tiges centre half, so nev compared to Aaron's game a little quiet. Davey looking great, no doubt spurred on by the all-stars jumper, will the Dees jumper have the same effect?

Does anyone know who's commentating via the afl site? these guys are... interesting!

Watching it on AFL.com and the resolution is so poor I can hardly tell one player from another. If it wasn't for the commentators I wouln't be able to watch it. Have the AFL run out of money??

The commentary team are Andrew Underwood (I'm assuming he's the bloke they keep calling "Undies"), Barry Denner, and Gilbert McAdam.

- care of AFLNT website

That's all I got.

Is it the Marngrook crew commentating?

Some. I think it's a pretty mixed bag. Gilbert McAdam I think is in there. Not sure who else. Chris Yarran is boundary rider.

I'm a bit dubious about Bennell getting the BOG. He got a lot of the ball but butchered it a lot as well.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
