Mobile Skin/Version of Demonland

Featured Replies

A few posters have been asking me lately if there is a mobile version of the site.

The short answer is yes there is. The long version is you need to take out a Demonland subscription in order to access it.

You can take out a Demonland Subscription here: http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/subscriptions/

A Demonland Annual Subscription is $20 and you get a 1 year subscription to Demonland.com without advertisements which also includes access to the Mobile Skin for Smartphones.

A Demonland Lifetime Subscription is $50 and you get a Lifetime subscription to Demonland.com without advertisements which also includes access to the Mobile Skin for Smartphones.

The mobile skin looks like this on your smartphone:

It's easier to read on a smartphone than the full site so if you do the majority of your reading of Demonland on your phone then the mobile skin is great. The software does of course recognise the device you are using so if you have a subscription but are viewing on your PC or iPad then it will display the full site. If you are viewing on your iPhone then it will display the mobile skin. If you are viewing the mobile skin on your phone and you want to view the full site there is a convenient button at the bottom and top of the page that allows you to switch back to the full site.

Also, in addition to access to the mobile skin the subscriptions remove the advertising on the site to give you a better viewing experience of the site.

Here is a screenshot of the site with ads:

All proceeds from subscriptions go towards paying for the site costs and periodically if there is anything left in the kitty I throw some of it Nasher's way for the amazing job he does in keeping the site's backend running smoothly or I will donate it back to the club.

So if you want to help us out then there is a way to do so as well as getting something back in return.

Cheers and Go Dees.

Andy

I must commend you for the ongoing tweaking to the skin :)

Even as i was thinking improvements ...golly...they just happened. Almost scary lol

thanks again

The mobile skin is fantastic for those who are yet to jump.

I'm not having a go at you WYL but that statement is so rich (i know that sounds like [censored]) but I have no idea what a conversation like this means.

Mobile skin is gold for me when I'm interstate and in a truck.

Looks great highly recommend anyone like me who likes to read but doesn't post very much to purchase a membership these guys that look after this site really do need the funds to keep it running! Good work guys!

Has anyone tried the mobile skin on Android?

I was noticing some weird stuff happening with the way replies and quotes were working, but it was fixed very fast - it definitely looks the goods.

Loads nice and quick, which is very important for me, nothing's worse than checking Demonland and missing a goal at the G because you're on the bloody phone and looking up and down constantly.

Hurry up NAB Cup, or even an intra-club. I miss my footy.

i think the new mobile skin is fantastic. colours look good. well done demonland!

What phone are you using?

At the bottom left hand side of the page there is a link that says "Use Mobile Version". Click that and you should be seeing the mobile skin.

Not sure if you have any control of the arrangement if the mobile skin, but I think it needs a forum navigation button at the bottom of the back to get back to the topic lists, the same as the top left. My 2c

I'll look into that.

Was about to post the same, Andy.
