There here, they're there, but where & when will they be @ Princes Park?

I've read that the 3rd party deal, extended to that players,,, others as well.

Well Caro, hows about searching out family 3rd party deals, instead of just flushing out the CEO's. Stop doing your contacts dirty media work, & show some independence & initiative & go after an independent story.

I think you've got the cojones to do the job.

At the moment we have Selwood at the Cats, Judd at Carlton and Van Berlo, Tippet and Dangerfield at the crows all facing scrutiny. Very good timing for us and our little issue.

What issue?

Where has this been reported?

He's been reported as taking third party payments from Toilet Duck.

Well it sounds shocking and awful but what's the substance behind the allegation.

Wilson's becoming very good at writing nothing articles.

just beat me to it!

All of these third party deals dodgey. There should be a independent body that looks at these deals, not one that is run by the AFL.it seem that the AFL. Allows these deals to the clubs they want to help at that time.

The underbelly lady of the AFL

It sounds top me like the AFL is desperately trying to dissuade Clubs & CEO's by trying to embarrass them & any Sponsors or Coteries, that go outside the AFL guidelines.

Why publicly? Maybe to embarrass them out of the behaviors, as I suspect the AFL are worried its too big a problem to take on in one investigation,,,, as its probably Rife & AFL wide...

So the public scrutiny goes wide beam, & also it gives the perception that the AFL is level handed, with its actions against clubs.

But wait til the Draft tanking thing comes back up, & we'll see just how level handed they really are.

We'll see if they are prepared to open an investigation into draft & list manipulation over the last 15 Years.

C'mon Vlad, lets have a real investigation into the Draft early picks & priority picks since 1996ish.

The worlds into an Honesty stream at the moment, lets see an investigation like Lance Armstrongs, & like the current Royal Commission.

This is where the AFL is going to find a problem.. Carlton are arguing "Why is this happening now when for five years you have let us get away with it"? You can see their point because they have been allowed to "get away with it" for this long and all of a sudden because of the Tippett dramas they are now saying we cant have these deals so sorry you have to count the money now..

Haha i say to all of them but I am not sure if there could be a challenge but all I say to Demetriou and his cronies " You reap what you sow"..

I won't be surprised when Judd is offered millions from GWS through free agency next year......

I would, he's in his last years now and won't get an offer like that. His earning potential as a player has peaked.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.
