This is my wish list of players to fill holes in our side.

Who are F/A

(U)=Unrestricted

®=Restricted

BACK LINE: Harry O'brien®,Jordan Russell(U),Corey Enright(U),Sam Fisher®,Josh Drummond®

CENTER LINE: Daniel Kerr(U),Luke Hodge(U).Chris Knights(U),Leigh Montagna(U),Brendon Goddard®,Brent Stanton®Shannon Byrnes(U)

FORWARD LINE:Travis Cloke®,Angus Monfries®,Steve Johnson(U),Paul Chapman(U)(U)Justin Koschitzke(U)Quinten Lynch(U)

I know some of these guys will be hard to get but as you can see there is some real talent there and i get the feeling Mark Neeld will go hard to get the players he wants.

The bottom line is money can talk. Just ask Tom

If we can get one guy from each line it would help us alot till our skinny kids grow.

Who do you guys like out of this lot?

Would love several.

I suspect the better ones will re-sign with their club, be hideously over-priced or only have one good year left in them.

Having said that... Hodge and Chappy thanks.

Disagree with most of your list. The vast majority are too old for our needs. A few just aren't worth the effort.

While I can see the appeal of Cloke, he would be ruinously expensive and would more or less kill the career of Cook. I would prefer we stay clear of him and look at players who are a little more reasonably priced and who will help our midfield to function.

I like the idea but what possibly has the MFC that will attract a FA from a club like Geelong?

Not very fruitful, particularly when he is the son-in-law of the President.....

Im sure you could see where I was coming from. He has been playing at a premiership dynasty for years and will go down as one of the greats (underated) of that era.

3 flags, 2 b&f's, 4 time AA team member, I'm sure he would love to end his career where it started.

Which team is on the up?!

i dont think the cats will slip back as far as people think, a couple of years around the middle & then they'll be there abouts again. Got some good kids down there.

I would love him, he has dash, great 1 on 1 and doesn’t turn it over. Boy wouldn’t he stand out!

Very underrated, B&F in a premiership team and considering the players around him shows just how highly he is regarded.

Unfortunately he strikes me as a one club player, best clubman type.

Pick 47 in the draft too - What a return!

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
