Phew. I read that one without fainting....

Maybe we just forget what you said re 2011 example.

As dc said ...ok

But what a doozy that was...

Ok fork in, I'm done..

Cameron will be a star..

Who cares if he will be a star as it doesn't effect us.

And the 2011 premiership was won more by A grade players then a few select Stars, in future if you choose to dismiss someones opinion then at least provide some argument as to why rather then beat around the bush with simpleton comments

Are you all there? You know, up stairs?

Firstly you make the clearly wrong, and arguably idiotic statement that Geelong 2011 had no stars.

Then you argue amongst yourself to somehow try and deflect any real argument coming your way.

You then want everyone to forget you even said it, either because a: you realise how stupid it was, or b: you genuinely didn't want to derail the thread.

Finally you finish off with a smart arz comment asking H_T to provide an argument - after numerous times saying you didn't want to rehash that argument.

You sir, are my new favourite.

bugger it, I'm stupid enough to buy in. lets have a crack at this.

Josh Hunt B- grade player, lucky enough enough to play in 3 premierships.

Matthew Scarlett 6 time All Australian. One of the greatest full backs the game has seen.

Tom Lonergan B- courageous fight back to play in a flag, but bottom 6 in anyones estimation

Corey Enright A+ 4 time All Australian. star in anyones estimation

Harry Taylor B+ mature age debutant, hasn't put a put wrong. One of the best contested marks in the game

David Wojcinski B- Runs really fast, not much else to offer.

Joel Selwood A++ Outside of Chris Judd put together the finest first 100 games in memory. One of the 10 best footballers in the game.

Jimmy Bartel A+ Brownlow Medallist, Norm Smith Medallist, 2 x AA. thrives on the big stage. One word - champion

Andrew Mackie B decent footballer, not a star, not a hack.

Actually I've lost interest. I've only got to the centreline, but the points made. But just for clarity, theres another 13 players to go that I didn't get to. Of those 13 players theres 10 All Australian jumpers between.

Like DA, you're now my favourite poster too.

Iv actually lost track of whats going on here cause i dont care anymore except my damn hands keep clicking on the threads that keep getting bumped because im so bored at work.

But for the sake of it can you tell me what players were 'stars' for the 2011 season for the Cats. Has nothing to do with this thread of course but what the hell.

Nice, you listed there career achievements.

So how many of these were 'stars' for the 2011 season?

Back to the original point, I would prefer 2 A grade players like Watts and Trengove rather then a star like Cameron.

Your arguing in favor that you would prefer less stars to more A grade players I assume?

I am finding it funny how people are arguing that we need 'stars' and spruking players they think will be stars though none of these people have suggested any logical way to get any to the MFC. They just continue to try to de-rail this thread

resistance is futile.

Over and out.

Unless we want to give up a viney, watts or a frawley then there is no point suggesting this.

Viney and Frawley? No. If they are silly enough to take Jack Watts? Hell yes!

Cameron will be a gun, but fix the bloody midfield. Dawes and Clark are enough company for Hogan to thrive under for the moment. I'd look at adding crumbers to that list before KPFs.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
