Casey's lead is out to 26 points but all the talk here is about GWS and Geelong being level at half time at the Cattery.

.and so it should be - they look quick and switched on.

Half Time: Casey Scorpions lead 8.8.56,to 3.2.20.

Goals: Cook 3 Bate Fieldsend Fitzpatrick Lawrence Petterd

Stat leaders: Panozza 15, L. Tynan 14, Petterd 14, Bate, Davey 13, Sheahan 13, Fitzpatrick 11.

Some good performances out there. Evan Panozza producing some great leadership. Troy Davis and Jai Sheahan are very cool customers in defence along with a much improved Luke Tynan. Cook really showing some good signs in front of goal

Ricky P did some great things through that quarter. Loves a trash talk too which got him into a good scuffle with Davis backing him nicely.

First goal of the quarter was a cracker from the pocket to Lawrence as well.

Should I be getting excited about Cook or are the Bullants just doing what you expect a 1-6 team to do? Is he on a Carlton player or some 17-year-old?

Still, good signs. Also pleased to hear Davis is doing well.

Huge fan of Davis & have never gave up on Cook like most - the kid has all the goods, needs to add on weight, will be our next FF, Clark plays better up and around the CHF position and thats where we get let down. Time to start playing these kids like Davis, Cook, Tynan, Taggert & Co.

Problem is that Morton has ruined the assumption that players will eventually put on weight for everyone.

Just like Jamar turning out to be good six years later means we'll never be able to write off a ruckman quickly ever again.

Not much happening here at Visy Park where both teams are finding it hard to score early in the third term.

The Blues have the only score of the first eight minutes of the quarter - a point.

Great grab by cooky!

And Watts getting tackled first up in Queen's Bday has ruined any chances of Cook getting a game before he's 25 and 100kg...

Yes whilst you may be right in these cases, Cook has put on 10kg in 2 years whilst Morton hasnt put on any!!! I rate Cook very highly.

As for Jamar, personally I wouldnt of held on to him that long, nor would any club for that matter. Had one good season and doesnt do any damage around the ground. However he is leading the AFL in hitouts and is being let down by a non-existent midfield.

Wouldnt be suprised to see the Dees get a mature ruckman in FA or Rookie draft this year, shame Gawn doesnt look like he will make it due to injury.

Max will be back but not before 2013 ... and Daniel Menzel's experience today is another good reason why he shouldn't attempt to come back too soon.

I would like to see Jake Spencer get another chance. Perhaps after the bye when we take on GWS?

Certainly not suggesting that CM is representative of any other player! He needs to be locked inside a KFC.

Yeah bloody sad about Menzel WJ. Good young kid. Do you know if Max will be ready to go start of pre season?

Yeah they need to trial Spencer for a few games and see how he goes.

I saw Max at the G a few weeks ago and he said he'd just started running. Hopefully, that means he will be right to go early next season. I'm sure they'll be pretty conservative with him given that he's had 2 ACLs already.

Three quarter time: Casey 12.10.82 lead Northern Blues 4.5.29 - a goal on the siren and it's becoming a bit of a blow out.

Goals: Cook 3 Bate Lawrence 2 Davey Fieldsend Fitzpatrick Panozza Petterd

Major possession winners: Bate Sheahan 20 LTynan Panozza18 Davey 17

Based on Jake's game today, I doubt it. He has a foot on the bullants ruckman but just gets knocked from his line so easily. He needs a lot more strength in his legs so he isn't shoved out of the way.

Also around the ground he has had little to no impact at all

Fitzy as clunked a couple grabs today so I think he would be ahead atm

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
