We are having a real crack but we will have some very tired boys.

Will be hard to maintain this intensity but i really hope we can.

Trengove is a big worry for this team. He has no pace. Otherwise i am most pleased. The boys want to learn. Tonight is the first.

Yes, they could hit the wall 10 minutes into the 3rd.

I would not be surprised if Trengove is subbed out for Sylvia. He has done very little.

You'd have about $1.50

haha was waiting for that...

Happy to be of service :-)

Huge half coming up for the side. Good first half showing but the players have to commit mentally to backing it up.

Trengove is on thin ice and should be subbed for Sylvia if he doesn't pull his finger out. We need more from him. Much more.

Not sure how to kick goals without the quick give to a loose player from a stoppage. Morton is an outside player, sure. But that doesn't mean he's useless. Far from it.

Just don't think ANY player should be a 100% outside player. Sometimes you have to go in and get it yourself no matter who you are.

Not many, but I've played even fewer. If I can see his problems, surely he should be able to see them too.

say no more

McKenzie having a blinder, absolutely destroying Goddard!

Jesus... he's having a pretty good game and you have to grab one incident in an effort to bag him!!!

Purely out of curiosity are you at the game or watching on tv?

sheesh 10 minute mark we are deep in attack we tackle in the pocket ball spills out of aints hands, drop in the ball, no free, seconds later Morton taken to ground without ball, no free again, just no reward for us with umps, so friggin frustrating. Boys are learning, great stuff. GO DEES

I've actually been pretty happy with Tom Mac. He is getting the AFL game fast track, and fair enough. He will learn heaps playing on Riewoldt. He was a bit at sea in the first quarter but has done well in the second.

I've also been happy with Morton and Davey. Both look like they are enjoying themselves out there. Davey in particular.

I love the way Neeld has set this game up with one on ones all over the ground.

Stuie, you see what you want to see. this team needs diversity. If we had all inside types we would be useless. Morton is not a Lenny Hayes type. As long as he can neurtralise the inside stuff and continue to run, spread and dispose, he will be a very good player. I see Morton developing under Neeld and the other coaches

That is what I was referring to earlier - for basically a first year player given Reiwoldt as a match up he IS doing a fair job.

Layed a ripper tackle on Goddard which I'm sure all the haters missed.

Best half we have played all year :) , love the intensity and tackling

At the game. Morton >> Watts tonight. When its wet and slippery our boys want it more. Still not able to run both ways - might not have the fitness to run this out.

I think that he is showing that he has the physical attributes, just needs to work on his composure.

Reminds me of a kid called Frawley a few years ago.

To be honest, he has adapted well as the game has gone on. If he keeps this up for the rest of the game, he'll have done a great job.

Get Sylvia to full forward ASAP

I wish Channel 7 put this live in Brisbane - who wants to see Brisbane v Gellong having a mud wrestling match! Got the iPad live streaming the score and hopefully wont wake the kids up!

I saw a great tackle on Mcevoy?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
