Come on? This is a joke right?

Mr funny pants xxxl shorts seem to get bigger every year.

Is there an image that he thinks he has to uphold?

Looks like he pooed his pants.

He wears them so as a mark of respect to the Hip Hop/ Rap culture and society which he apparently holds great fondness for.

Reckons it makes him look like a Gangsta. I don't think it makes him look like anything other than a dork.

It's so stupid, I love hip hop and rap but you don't see me acting like a tool when I play footy.... Thats what basketball is for.

Eddie's large shorts are the only thing I like about his club. Have hated them since my childhood.

They're just a pair of shorts for god's sake... what does it really matter? At least he has some pretty impressive skills to offer. Sometimes I wonder where peoples' heads are at when they have to start getting suck into a player's shorts or a player's moustache etc etc.

Sorry just a little upset over today's game

I don't expect you are Robinson Crusoe in that regard.

Well, now you know why Betts wears those shorts... so he can paraglide back to earth after taking marks. He managed mark of the year twice in a single game last night...simply incredible!

He plays for Carlton.

An astute observation WYL.

Carlton are my most loathed and despised club in Victoria. It is hard to make any comment about them.

Regardless, Betts is a fine player and those were brilliant marks by anyone's standard. He's too good for Carlton.

You are so right. But even when Carlton brilliance is seen it is always tainted.

Betts has a new car though granted. Those super slo mo cameras make the high mark even better don't they.

Wouldn't mind Marc Murphy, Yarran and Garlett either.

Hell I'd even take Simpson in a heartbeat.

No Brock, no! You stay there, stay!

Winner of the best post for this week.

Thanks Mr. Leg

It's been a tough week but i am Melbourne.

Loved Dennis' comments on his two high flyers last night... "parachute pants - he deploys them on the way down."

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
