Grimes injured

Featured Replies

Is it to early to start talking about another rookie upgrade boys?!

So unlucky!

Yes by about 3 hours dd

Just heard on the radio that it is not as bad as first thought. It was said that the injury doesn't seem too bad.

Looking forward to an official statement from the club website but a radio report is promising (sort of).

im thinking he should be ok from what has been said on sen but liam is a bad setback he has had all summer to get better stupid surgen must be a collingwood fan

No just another Human

This is bull! He litterally picked up where he left off in GC, and now this?!

Hoping and praying it's nothing serious, we just don't seem to have any luck come our way when we finally get a gun!

F this S. If it's serious then it will be the last piece of evidence to prove the footy gods just plain hate us.

P_man there are no such things.

And we are talking about Grimes I find it difficult to be surprised.

Now that does not mean I am not dissappointed but hardly surprised.

isnt Missons job to make sure our injury list is reduced? to be honest it dosn't look any shorter then last year...

What a stupid comment ! It's a collision injury

Hopefully he has some luck and it's one of those ones where everyone has overreacted and we all have a laugh.

If it's serious, well, that's just horrible for him. Worst timing ever.

But we've got players that can play his role, perhaps not as well, but we've replaced him many times before and we can do it again.

It could always be worse.

Yes It can always be worse

Like it or not we have to have success without Grimes because he is brittle and unfortunately relieing on Grimes is not a good plan.

I wasn't aware Grimes had a history of injured shoulders.

you are right he does not, he did not have a history of broken bones in his foot either.

Just seems to get a lot of long term injuries and the list lengths with every passing year.

Whatever the reason he has had a number of long term injuries for his short time in the Game.

Some players are just unlucky. I remember people saying how injury prone Moloney was a few years ago even though all his injuries were unrelated to each other.

Nathan Jones has missed around four games since being drafted. He broke his back, the difference was he did it in the last game of the year, some are just luckier than others.

TISM

Grimes & Jurrah

When will we have any luck !!!!!!!!!

Poor bastard cant take a trick.. : ( A speedy and full recovery Jack

Will he ever play a full season ?? You have to wonder.

Pump the brakes B59. He hasn't been ruled out yet! Fingers crossed...

Just look on the bright side........how much worse would a torn knee ligament be ? Think of a certain no. 5 !

Good news!! He is ok only a strain and 2 weeks out....yay!!!!!

Just reported it on 9 News.

No major damage!

Neeld on AW now !! Says it is minor.......just a few weeks missing !

Phew!!

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
