Perhaps you weren't her type.

Zing !

ouch - left myself wide open there

I always thought the Phantom was more of a Ring man Myself.....

I thought Nicho was one of our 2011 Highlights.....He will make it.

So do I see what I said on his review topic.

Must look different above to what I entended.

I was making the observation that I was not surprised that he trained so well.

Sorry if does not read that way.

been too long in a cave with a funny looking dog i think

Not sure why you are surprised by Nicholson

He is fast normally and he is a rookie who is into his second year on the rookie list.

He will be looking to follow up his 2011 good showing with a better 2012.

It is 2012 or never for this guy.

Hope he makes it.

Probably did not take a holiday wants to impress the new coaches straight up.

Harsh call old dee .For a first year rookie I thought he had a terrific year. Considering that as an inexperienced rookie he joined a side that was bereft of a game plan or on field leadership he did all that could be asked.

You are effusive in your faint praise...

That was not intend see my reply to WYL

I think he was one of the bright spots of 2011.

really like him.

how many exciting time trials till Draft day on the 23rd.

don't know if can survive another d'land off season

Here I go again sorry RR that was not what I meant see above comments.

Believe me everyone I like him a lot.

He kept up with Scully in the Beep Test and his endurance is up there billy.

Didn't they stop Scully?

That said, I am happily surprised that JT ran a 3km time trial in his draft year in around 10min 5seconds or similar.

It's good to ask a genuine question, get it answered, and not have to put up with a heap of bullsh!t. Thanks HT. :)

not having a go at you, but my sister was a nympho and it didn't help me at all

Any chance of an introduction DC!

Have a listen to the interview with Dave Misson. He has some interesting comments on our current performance.

He mentioned that the 3 front runners were good (Jones, Bail and Nicholson) but there were probably a few guys at the back that needed to improve - 'definitely room for improvement'.

He was asked his impressions of the first week, and he said the effort had been great. He used the word 'effort' instead of 'performance'.

He said he came to MFC with a lot of data from his previous clubs (Swans and Saints) on how they performed over 3k, so he will compare the figures later today.

He said the attitude was good and they have a lot of new things to take in, such as adjusting to MJs new game plan.

Next open training time - monday 7th Nov 10 am.

As long as the Effort is there.....The rest will follow...I thought what he had to say for early November was great....The Scope for improvement in this list is massive.

And attitude too. He also said you need both. He's measuring our performance against a recent premier team and a grand finalist. He'll know what we need to produce to achieve results.

Effort creates Attitude....Effort gets everything Rolling....Baby Steps at first....then lift work rates......Misson's Files will be large and varied, don't forget he worked with the Wallabies and Australian Cricket side.

His stay maybe only short...so we gotta learn everything for the future as well

Any hints on that? Didn't he stay at the Swans from 2001 to 2007, and the saints from 2008?

Tom Mcdonald 4th. I have really high hopes for TMc, in 10 years time i reckon he will be leading the list of "draft steals". 55 or something he went at?

That really surprises me as he doesn't look like a runner. This kid is giving himself every chance to succeed.

I would say his stint at the Demons will depend a lot on onfield improvement. You can just tell the guy is massively focused.

We have not had this type of stuff at the MFC before.....This was Jimmy's long term goal back in 2008....not just to see this place survive, but to actually see it become a leader again.

Long way to go yet...but the pieces are coming together fast...Misson is going to love this preseason....he can really work these boys into athletes.

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
