Here's a good news story from the Cranbourne newspaper about the Melbourne Football Club and CEO, Cameron Schwab interacting with the local community in the Casey area - Footy chief at school helm 

Initiatives like this will bear fruit for our club in years to come in terms of support, memberships and sponsorship opportunities in one of the country's fastest growing population centres.

This is also why we should be supporting and embracing our links with the Casey Scorpions and the Berwick/Cranbourne community.

It is all about bitching, slagging each other off, character assassination etc.

Just joking it is a good story and shows some good long term planning.

what a great initiative . Good to see the club particpating. I could only imagine it would be a heartening and rewarding day for all concerned...on both sides.

Good to see things are changing. Hawks moved in quickly after 96 and look at them now.

I'm hoping Casey/Cranbourne is to us what Waverley & Tassie has been to them , although we have greater scope at Casey.

2011 could be the year where we realised the job was no wear near done, here's hoping

You sow a lots of seeds....then you just need a little success to germinate the support. Might be sowing a litte bit longer., probably should never stop on reflection.

    The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour.
