The Brad Crouch Thread

Sometime you need to pay what seems to be "overs" to the get the quality required.

I put to you that to beat them we would have had to dig really deep and give up picks in next years draft that would be difficult to justify.

For adelaide to be on top here crouch would have to be a top 10 pick (probably is) and brown top 15 (does not seem to be on consensus).

You are right, to lock them in you need to pay overs. I just didnt want to see us miss out and someone get a bargain.

The Crows confirm they've secured pick 2 and will go after Brad Crouch #tradeweek

Big waste of time on our behalf and we continue to waste our time in chasing Mitch Clarke. Seriously, what are we doing?

Its never a wste of time and people have to understand the finely construed web of values. Its not always what you do over here>>>>>>>

<<<<<<<that affects over here

The thing that is clear to me is the Harrington doesnt seem like he wants to pay overs for anything, doesnt want to look dumb ect

He also knows that with 3 picks around 12 we WILL recruit 3 good players, Prendergast has a good strike rate imo hasnt recruited any players who wernt worth the pick we used, Gysberts was a nice little pick up, as Gawn, Cook is early but i like the idea. 3 of these kids will make me quite happy 3 good first round choices and we will all forget about this

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
