Sounds like most were pretty good. Most players got a good review, so you must be happy with the performance.

You know we actuality lost to one of the worst teams of the last few years?

Very harsh on Green.

Was muuch more effective than Howe and kept presenting.

Could have been the difference had he started.

So Jones & Rivers don't deserve a review? :(

Missed two crucial goals and if you look at his recent form was lucky to be a sub. Tiges sub did more.

Difficult angles and went close.

Now Bartrams from dead in front??

Morton - soft as butter - Now that is downgrading butter. I would much rather play with one short......plays with no heart, I think the only reason we play him is to try and improve his value...I cringe everytime he goes near the ball.....were you people at the same match I was at???

I'm no Morton fan but I thought he played OK yesterday, he hit targets, he seems to have sorted out his short kicking, a couple of passes inside 50m were the best I've seen him kick the footy over 25m since coming to the club and this has been his big issue. Defensively still needs work and he needs to continue to work on his attack of the footy but we was good yesterday.

morton needs to spend all summer in the gym. he has been in the afl system for a few years now and has the body of a 17 year old.

He doesn't need to turn into a bull a la' Tapscott, but he could do with putting on some KG's and general thickness to his torso. Then we may see a change of "hardness".

Could have been the difference had he started.

Could have been the difference if he kicked straight.

For a captain to be the sub. It tells the story.

Difficult angles and went close.

Now Bartrams from dead in front??

As an impact player he had little. Cant win the contested ball and the two opportunities he had he should have nailed at least one of them. The first shot in particular was on a 60 degree angle at 45 metres on his preferred kicking side. He poked at it. The other goal was gettable but he did not even go close. As Captain who has had little impact on the game he needed to make a mark, a statement. Another instance of the leadership. His set shots for goals this year has been deplorable. A most overrated kick.

Bartram's shot was at the same position to Green's first shot on the other foot. Sure he missed but it was the only black mark when Bartram had subdued Cotchin for most of the game.

Some people will never be happy with Morton, his skills were good yesterday, maybe a couple of errors but in todays footy every player has them. He does need to get bigger but it will happen. Another preseason under his belt will help. He beat his opponent yesterday, even though it was another Morton!

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Once again inaccuracy and inefficiency going inside 50 rears it's ugly head as the Demons suffered their second loss on the trot and their fourth loss in five games as they go down to the Pies by 38 points on Kings Birthday at the MCG.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

It's Game Day and the Demons are once again faced with a classic 8 point game against a traditional rival on King's Birthday at the MCG. A famous victory will see them reclaim a place in the Top 8 whereas a loss will be another blow for their finals credentials.
