Warnock & 2nd round pick to Hawthorn for Ryan Schoenmakers. The kid played all of his junior footy as a forward and was a bloody good one. Hasn't set the world on fire as a backman, could fix our need for a big FF. Matty I love the bloke but cant cut it in our backline and would walk into the hawks as there second best tall backman.

Nah. He's another Dunn. We don't need more mid-sized forwards.

Mark Jamar & our (2011 - 2nd Rnd pick), to GWS, for Jeager O'Meara.

I'd give Warnock to the Hawks, for their (2012 - 3nd Rnd pick).

Aaron Davey & Austin Wonaeamirri to West Coast, for Andrew Gaff. OR, Aaron Davey for Quentin Lynch.

Aaron Davey, Joel Macdonald & our (2011 - 2nd Pick) to Port Adelaide, for Travis Boak. OR, Aaron Davey for Jackson Trengove.

Aaron Davey to Richmond, for Dylan Grimes + their (2012 - 3rd Rnd pick).

1) Vomit

2) What's with the love fest for Rohan? Injury plagued and largely unproven

3) Who?

Um what?

1) A 2nd round pick in a weak draft which is likely to be in the mid to late 30's and an unproven and underachiving Morton for a premiership player, very good midfielder to help out with our lack of leadership who's still 27 sounds like a great deal to me.

2) What you said about Rohan many could use the same to comment on Sylvia. Rohan's at least younger with more potential.

3) Jamie Cripps, young goal sneak who kicked at least 1 goal in every game he played with St. Kilda this year before he got injured. Something that we need.

deeluded surely anyone being traded to port adelaide would just crack an almight shitfit and just retire, Joel Mac doesn't deserve that.

I know what you mean, but Joel may only get another 12 months with us, depending on how Tom Mcdonald and Davis go next year. He and a couple of others will be quickly passed in the course of 2012/13.

IF, he went to Port, he would probably get 3 or 4 years.

He may be interested in that, or maybe not. I don't know.

Maybe we could find some other arrangement, suitable as a trade.

Carlton will be into Boak and Trengove in a big way, as others will.

Come on, let's talk footy and be sensible, peoples....

Morton for Franklin, Maric for Ablett just aint gonna happen.

Sorry for being facetious but other clubs are not going to part with above average players for Morton, Warnock, Dunn, Bate, Maric etc

You've got to trade big to gain big.

Scully to GWS. Jagaer O'Meara to West Coast. Andrew Gaff to Melbourne.

# Scully to GWS. Jagaer O'Meara to West Coast. Andrew Gaff to Melbourne. I love this. I couldn't see the Obvious, but I'd want just a little more back for the Scull dog. West Coasts (2012 - 2nd Rnd pick).

Martin? Sylvia?... NO!

Any of the below trades I'd be happy with.

Morton to Port for Pittard.

Morton to Port for Salopek.

Morton & Our 2nd round pick to Port for K. Cornes.

Morton & Our 1st round pick to Port for Butcher.

Sylvia & our 1st round pick to Adelaide for Dangerfield & their 2nd round pick.

Sylvia to Adelaide for Sloane.

Sylvia to Adelaide for Walker & their 1st round pick.

Sylvia & Morton to Sydney for Rohan & Johnston.

Bate to St. Kilda for Cripps.

Warnock & 2nd round pick to Brisbane to for Black who comes to Melbourne as captain!

Very few good, or even vaguely realistic, trades in this list here.

Shocking, some of it.

John Butcher went 7 or 8 in the draft and has played 2 games with injury issues. No way in hell is he worth an experienced no. 3 pick and a first round as well. Especially when our team is so desperately lacking in experienced players to lead on the field.

I have no idea when it comes to how the draft/trade system works but can someone explain to me whether there's any possibility of???....

IF the Scull ends up going to GWS, and we get the two early first round draft picks for him (is that right lol?)....are we able to trade one of those early first round picks to say Port and maybe a Morton or someone who's not a required player on our list next year, for Butcher?

Media drivel is saying Carltons in the hunt. Whether there's any truth or not, I'd hate to pass this guy up. Looks like a champ in the making/offing to me. Reminds me a little of a right footed version of Scotty Lucas.

I'll throw up if the blues got him ahead of us and he's running around kicking bags against us (and others) in the next few years, having already seen the Judster pass us by and go there.

I cannot believe the stupidity of some of the posts in here!! Adelaide are NEVER going to trade Dangerfield. Sydney are NEVER going to trade Reid. Geelong are NEVER going to trade Bartel. Clubs dont trade their best players. They just don't. Geelong did not trade Ablett. He left. For $1.5m a year for God's sake!

Secondly, Matthew Bate is currently a set of steak knives. He would be thrown in to sweeten a deal. There is absolutely no market value in him what-so-ever!

The only trade targets MFC should entertain are for big forwards. Jessie White, Mitch Clark, Taylor Walker, Lachie Hansen, etc.. the 2nd stringers who might have improvement in them. For someone in this category we would have to offer up a quality trade. Colin Sylvia (if he wants out), Cale Morton. No one else I would want to trade has market value for a player such as these.

Get real people. Next someone will post that we trade Bartram for Pendelbury.

As per the Judd scenario clubs will trade stars if they want to leave, the problem is what are you prepared to give

Yeah, I'd hang onto nothing.

Would be more appealing in bringing coaches and free agents to the club, with good reason.

I also think it would be a more appealing sweetener in trade deals with other clubs.

On Sunday evening on the big screen, Russell Robertson interviewed Josh Mahoney prior to the game. During the interview Mahoney made mention that the club would this year be more active in trade period than previous years to address one or two areas.

I think IIRC, he also mentioned and or alluded to the gap in age/experience from our senior players to our younger players.

Did anyone else take note of this interview ?

Don't mind where you're headed and keeping Jamar up your sleeve is clever too!

No, I never do, but I now wish I had!
