Red,I am sure you will be pleased to know that Manorial finances are quite buoyant at the moment. ( Cutting staff wages always helps)

A story. Some years ago I had giant pitbull ( who lived a long happy and eventful life) who demonstrated his dislike of electricity salesman in , shall be we say a very strident manner. The word must have spread, as subsequently, I have very few touts knocking on my door.

The meter readers are quite safe as they use some sort of advanced technology to complete their business from afar.

Are you sure it was the Pitbull that scared them away, or was it the stench of self righteousness, liquor and bitterness coming from The Manor?

Did the dog also keep the femmes fatale at bay, perhaps providing an explanation for your grouchy countenance and demeanour?

Where do the Fila Brasilieros fit in the menagerie family tree, then, BBO? Short lived, through lack of chickens?

time to bring back the bananas?

...Or what about some fun with this for a while, from @Whispering_Jack's great summary of yesterday's hit-out:

"...Lachie Hunter who looks like being the yin on the wing to the yang of Ed Langdon..."

i.e., would that be 'wing and wang', then?

(And, is 'that Numberwang!'?...)

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
