Just a small amount of humour H_T

There was some great banter in the original. I recall the time last year when we started the countdown clock to the Jack Viney Draft.

That was somewhere in the first 20 pages or so. WJ or Redleg started the countdown pretty much at the conclusion of the 2011 Draft.

Then I produced an actual clock from a website so we could re-post it which told how much time to the second there was to go until we landed Jack Viney.

The pricing of banana's fluctuated (actually went through the roof) when cyclone Yasi wreaked havoc..... .

You have my vote H_T

Now all we have to do is f--- --

maybe hit some db limit? no of posts in thread? no of mb in thread? etc

Doubtful dc. The "Anyone for cricket" thread is 147 pages long and still going.Got to say, it's very unusual.

While buying my bananas yesterday at the fruit shop, the owner's son who was helping out and is an IT genius, told me that the only way for this to happen, is for someone in control to delete the thread. They don't just disappear.

Perhaps the responsible person will reinstate it quietly and quickly.

Interesting. With our thread gone that leaves that thread as the most replied to, most pages and possibly most views.

Agree.

It couldn't occur by accident, because there's a couple of steps involved. And we don't delete threads unless it's usually someone who has made a duplicate thread by being trigger happy with their OP. Or if a thread is in bad taste.Hopefully it can be retrieved Redleg. Nasher is the wiz. We can all buy him a bunch of banana's if he comes through. Or he might settle for a smoothie.

I hope to be in Tassie in January on a cruise with WJ and the wives. Perhaps I could shout him one then.

Jamaica?

seems it slipped on a banana peel and skidded right off the forums !!!!!!

It disappeared up its own fundament.

of course it was bloody deleted

Einstienian conclusion !!

People...we have to understand .......... there is a Banana hater in our midst. Unpalatable to digest i know .

Funny , and ironic that in essence they just as YELLOW as the fruit they despise !!! yeah...howd ya like them apples.. I mean bananas !! :)

its bad enough we have some of the ilk who would usurp our great club but even worse we have someone who wants to mince with our dietary intake.!!

Custard of the Cowardy type is also yellow..... fancy that ^_^

C'mon Mod-anon ...embrace your inner yellow.. !!!!

A kill joy you suggest BB.

I think so H_T... i think so

A Grinch moonlighting perhaps !!

No she's coming of her own accord.

Boom boom.

What route are you taking?

Deleted threads used to go straight to the Trash Forum (only Mods and Admins can see it) but deleted threads are no longer going there they are just mysteriously disappearing into the ether.

Again Nasher has backups of the database but I still don't know if that is enough to resurrect the thread.

if theres a will, theres easily a way.

so how willing is the 'deleter' ?

Funny how the Culprit wont face his accusers..lol

No word of explanation ??

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
